Try it out! You may just surprise yourself!
Pros:

First time ever visiting Skyland resort and Shenandoah National Park. At first I had a little bit of worry! Like why did I not research more. But, after the easy checkin and finding our room, turns out it aas wonderful. I got a traditional room (no fridge or microwave), there was a coffee maker! Not something I was use to but overall I surprised myself and didn't even care! The view from our patio was great. The hikes are wonderful! We will be back!

Pros:

We were there for my daughter's wedding. The staff was wonderful and so helpful with everything. The rooms were great and the food was excellent. I will defiantly return for a hiking trip when I have time to enjoy the area more.

The staff at Shenandoah Nat'l Park are always willing to help and are friendly and knowledgeable. The only downside is that the dining room is expensive but the next closest town is Luray

Room service lacking even though we were willing to go green. We were fine with towels , but had to ask for trash to be picked up and had to dispose of our own trash another day.

I liked we could checking in earlier as the room was ready. The lady in the front desk was very nice. What I did not like was there’s not microwave or vending machine. The ice machine was nearby.
