Great location. Great room. Great view. Perfect for a city break in Leeds. Everything within walking distance. Including the train station.
Location
Excellent location , very central.
Railway station within walking distance.
Welcome drink due to heat was excellent
Disliked everything
Nice overnight stay during school holidays. Great location next to the shopping centre and train station. Room upgrade to one bed appartment was reasonable and the suite was very nice.
Every interaction with staff was great all really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was reasonable albeit the bacon wasn't great as undercooked and appeared sat in water but apart from that there was something for us all. Overall really enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is in a good location, with easy access to shopping, transport, and a variety of restaurants and food options.
Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. When we checked in, the receptionist came across as robotic and completely uninterested. There was no welcome, no smile, and no sense of hospitality. In my opinion, she was simply not suited to working in a hotel reception environment.
At checkout, the experience was mixed. The first member of staff who dealt with us was polite and friendly. Although she struggled somewhat with her language skills, I had no issue with that because she was respectful and made an effort to help. However, another receptionist who intervened during the conversation was rude and seemed completely uninterested in listening to what I was trying to explain.
But the most unacceptable experience happened at around **11:10 pm**, when a member of hotel staff opened the door to our room and walked in while my wife and I were asleep. We were both extremely shocked and jumped out of bed. This was a serious invasion of our privacy and completely unacceptable, particularly at that time of night.
When we complained to reception, we were simply told that the staff member had knocked on the door. Seriously? If guests are asleep, are they expected to hear a knock before someone enters their room? A hotel room should be a private and secure space, and staff should never enter without ensuring that the guests are aware and have given permission, especially late at night.
This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I stay in hotels in different countries throughout the year for both personal and business reasons, and I have never experienced anything like this. I had previously thought this was a company I could trust, which makes the experience even more disappointing.
I am not someone who leaves reviews after every hotel stay. I only take the time to write a review when an experience is particularly good or particularly bad. Unfortunately, this stay was bad enough that I felt it was important to share my experience.
**I would not stay at this hotel again and cannot recommend it based on my experience.**
Park Plaza is ideally situated just outside the train station, a short 10-minute walk away. It also boasts a gym for those who want to keep fit.
As we all appreciate or grumble about the hot weather, rooms that are just a touch too warm are a common problem. However, as long as the temperature isn’t freezing I’ll stay cool.
Easy modern digital check in. Clean, big bath, convenient, close to centre and everything you need
A little noisy
Everything
Nothing
Great location next to the train station. Comfortable room and everything you would expect
Breakfast... very reasonable at £10 but cooked breakfast was really poor quality
Everything fabulous except lift, and breakfast staff giving the impression you’re here too long
Sometimes only one lift working and waiting ages to get on lift.
Engineers were there one of the days!
Raised the issue with staff at reception on checking out, with an attitude “it is what it is”
Felt so sorry for a family with 2 children on 20th floor
Staff and location perfect
Lift was quite slow
