Overall, the location may be good, but the experience was not up to the mark for the price paid. The lift problem, room cleanliness, lack of shampoo, and basic breakfast made the stay disappointing. I expected a much better standard from Park Plaza Leeds.
I stayed at Park Plaza Leeds on the 12th floor, and unfortunately my experience was disappointing.
The biggest issue was the lift. Every time I needed to use it, I had to wait almost 5 minutes because only one lift was working. I asked the staff about it, and they told me the other lifts were broken and had not been fixed for a long time. This is not acceptable, especially for guests staying on higher floors. If you are travelling for work and need to get ready for an early morning meeting, waiting this long for a lift can be very frustrating and stressful.
The hotel was average overall. The room was reasonably clean, and the facilities were acceptable, but nothing special. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast, which was of poor quality and offered very limited choices. It was an okay stay, but I expected a better experience for the price.

The lifts took forever one wasn’t working and had no sign on it we got in !!!
This hotel has a great central Leeds location . As many have said before the staff are great and the welcome is good in a modern lobby area. But that’s where it ends. I have been using this hotel for the last few years as it’s booked by my business for me. Unfortunately the time has come to ask not to be booked here again to stay. We hold many conferences here each year, and those facilities have always been good, but the rooms are old, worn out and sometimes a little grubby. Staying in a superior room currently where the air con doesn’t work, the glass doors to the wardrobes are stained, the bed creaks, the fridge is empty of cold water, the carpets stained and is past its use by date in terms of comfort and I was welcomed to the room by a family of moths circling a light!
Each time I have stayed it has become more and more visibly tired. Enough is enough P.P. Time to do something about it! The comments about the lifts are accurate. Unreliable and take too long for all the guests and 20 floors. Only 2 working this time.
Cleanliness all round is getting worse as room prices increase.
I have been booked here again ahead of a conference in early September but I have requested my business team cancel the room booking and book me somewhere else locally. Plenty of options to choose from within 5 mins walk of the conference. Shame to have to do this but simply no longer a good enough option for accommodation. Sorry P.P
How close to the centre it was.
Booked a 3 person room with super king bed and single. Arrived to 2 single beds and a sofa bed which we had to get 3 duvets to put on top for it to be sleep-able as the mattress was really thin. Only 2 lifts working so took 15-20 minute to get up or down from room. Air-con stopped working in the night so the room was really hot and uncomfortable.

Lift!!! Nightmare, only 1 working of 3 - took 8 minutes (I timed it on the last morning) to get from 12th floor to ground, stopping at every floor in a packed lift with no air con
Location was great. Room was cool and clean despite heatwave. we went to a local cafe for breakfast. Room had minimal tea and coffee making facilities but there was cold water and fruit available on the ground floor. Many restaurants nearby. we were on the 12th floor and there were not enough lifts and too high to take the stairs.
