Disappointing from the standpoint of what I expect for paying $500 per night.
Pros:

The offerings were average in quality and very expensive.

Cons:

At $500 per night, I expect the plumbing in the room to work. The sink drain was so slow, I had to shave in the shower and it took more time than usual to even brush my teeth.

We had a lovely mother daughter weekend. Off season there is still plenty to do -
Pros:

Spacious room with comfortable beds. Waterfront view. Walking distance from everything we wanted to do.

Cons:

No complaints. The Keurig pot wasn’t working but I made tea in the microwave. Less plastic waste all around.

Perfect location and stay!
Pros:

We stayed here for the first time the weekend after Thanksgiving. The Hilton Garden Inn Waterfront was the perfect location for our visit. We could walk everywhere, which is actually what I love about the size of Portland. The valet parking was a great service and a value. The staff was pleasant. We had a suite and a king room, both clean and comfortable. The suite was large and well-appointed, with a lovely sitting area and a huge table for eating and playing games. The indoor hot tub was nice, and there were cookies, coffee, and cider offered in the lobby at different times. We will stay here again. Loved it!

un relais très ordinaire. Personnel pas au courant des activités du nouvel an.
Pros:

piscine et spa aux bonnes temperatures.

Cons:

Le restaurant plein, serveuse peu courtoise alors qu'on avait indiqué qu'on mangerait sur place. Ils ont accommodé après insistance de ma part.

Loved following:
1. great complementary services - bottled water, morning coffee, and afternoon cookies and tea in the lobby
2. cozy and comfortable lobby
3. great and convenient location in the Old Port
4. Bath products - Gardeners by Crabtree & Evelyn; I'll be purchasing these for my home use : )
5. Hotel accommodated us to check in early which we greatly appreciated after driving all night. Thank you!

Cons:

Nothing of significance, but the elevators could use some upgrades. They are somewhat slow...and no separate service elevator, so the guests and the hotel service staff share the two elevators. However, it did not cause any issues during our stay and all the service staff we encountered in the elevators were very courteous and pleasant.

We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
Pros:

Convenient to everything. Room was clean. I got text messages each day to see if I needed anything. Prompt delivery of towels when needed. Would stay here again. Also loved the valet parking.

Cons:

No issues to report.

Pros:

Traveling on Christmas Eve and all the planes gang agley, I missed the last boat to Peaks Island. The hotel is just across the street from Casco Bay Lines, the hotel was perfect, and in the winter it is less expensive than the water taxi. The water taxi is a small, semi-enclosed boat which would have been miserable - if they had agreed to go at all.

The hotel was clean, quiet, the desk clerk was lovely, the bed was comfortable. My only regret was no bathing suit so no morning hot tub. I may do it again on purpose sometime.
