I’am currently staying at the Shangri-la Hotel in Dubai, and the experience is outstanding. The staff are incredibly kind, and the customer service is top-notch. I especially want to highlight Khodarham, who works at the entrance. He is a wonderful guy, always with a smile, and extremely friendly. He informed us perfectly about everything we needed, and I feel very well taken care of. Without a doubt, I will recommend it 100%.
Faultless service at this hotel, beautiful rooms and views, and well-worth upgrading to a club room so you have lounge access and benefits. The beds were also extremely comfy and I slept incredibly well.
The only reason why I've not given 5 stars is because one family from the residence would hold sun loungers all day and night for the week when we visited (even when they didn't use them, they always secured the best spots). Pool staff didn't monitor this, which doesn't feel like a 5 star experience. Everything else was fantastic - especially service!
Everywhere I go, I try to find something wrong, something the hotel may have missed in their quest for 5-star status. When you establish yourself as a 5-star hotel, it is all about the little details. Details that may seem trivial to some, are important to me. Things like the A/C working and on when I get to the room. The view as promised. The requests that were asked for ahead of time, were granted with such care. My wife loved the Bronze package that your staff prepared for our anniversary. The shower has enough water pressure. The ability to change denominations of local currency at the front desk. There were so many things that I could not remember them all. The attention to detail is what I look for the most, and I am not impressed much, but I was impressed with your establishment and I recognize it as a true 5-star hotel. I am not that good with names , but the entire staff was kind and thoughtful at every moment, and I want to give a special shout (and forgive my pronunciation) to the gentleman at the omelette station , who after the first day, already new what my order would be and made it with a smile. I think his name was Onom or Ono. He made me and my wife those omelettes with the skill of a Michelin star chef and with so much kindness. As mentioned in the begining , while I tried , I could not find anything wrong with your hotel, staff or services, which is why I consider it a true 5-star establishment, and having the opportunity, I would stay there again. The service at Shangri La is unmatched. I’ve been to many hotels in Dubai but the level of care and attention is extraordinary. Especially Mr. Khodarahm who always takes care of us and welcomes us with respect and a good mood.
We stayed at Shangri La Dubai for five nights from Boxing Day to New Years Eve (Dec25) in a 3-Bedroom Apartment/Suite for my family and I.
We were travelling with our young children and grandparents so the additional space of the room was welcomed. The space was huge, very spacious and we each had our own bathroom to use.
However, the room is showing its age and is need of a refurbishment. It’s just not up to the normal Shangri-La standards. We also had an issue with one one bedrooms smelling with cigarette smoke. We complained and whilst it was handled quickly by the management team, they were unable to resolve it which was disappointing.
The location of the hotel is good, on a busy road but close to get to the usual downtown attractions and a local metro nearby.
The breakfast at the hotel is another issue we were made to wait for tables due to capacity/space issues. When travelling with young children, this isn’t ideal.
The upgrade to use the lounge facilities was offered at check-in and we were glad we decided to pay for this. It includes access to a high floor area for afternoon canapés and evening snacks. Drinks including alcohol is also served. This helped when travelling with our family. The staff there (Keith and the team) made an effort to make us comfortable.
Service overall was ok. They tried their best with making our trip special as it was my father in laws birthday. The staff arranged cake, cards and balloons which was a nice touch.
Overall would we stay here again? No, I think the quality of the hotel together with the room issues were a problem. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to either friends or family. However it did meet our space needs burning city like Dubai where they’re lots of five star hotels I think this Shangri-La has a lot to do to improve.
Enjoyed two nights on the way to Sri Lanka. Location is great for Dubai Mall / Burj Khalifa, either by complementary hotel shuttle of nearby Metro station. The upgrade to a Horizon room in 39 floor provided a great view of the Burj Khalifa at night. Shangri-La hotels are noted for their superb breakfasts and this one didn’t disappoint, such great variety and cook stations for eggs and noodles. All-in-all an enjoyable short stay,
We recently stayed at Shangri-La Dubai as a group, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, Ma’am Luz handled everything smoothly and professionally, making our group check-in seamless and stress-free.

The facilities, especially the pool area, were perfect for relaxing together after a busy day exploring Dubai. What truly stood out was the hospitality — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
If you’re traveling with family, friends, or colleagues, this hotel is an excellent choice. We highly recommend it and would definitely return on our next visit to Dubai!
Our second stay at Shangri-La Dubai was truly exceptional and once again exceeded our expectations. From arrival to departure, the level of service embodied luxury hospitality. The entire team demonstrated impeccable professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness, creating an atmosphere that feels like home but on a luxurious setting. Special recognition to Luz and Archel. Kopila , Sheila, Coline, Soad and Elizabeta was extraordinary.
The facilities were amazing, and maintained to the highest standards. Every detail was flawlessly executed, from the beautifully appointed, featuring a breathtaking Burj Khalifa view and delightful birthday surprises, to the outstanding service across all outlets, including the staff in the reception, housekeeping, in-room dining, the Pool, and Hoi An. Each experience reflected excellence and consistency in service.
We would once again like to commend Luz and Archel for their gracious hospitality and dedication. Their poise, efficiency, and personalized care truly elevated our stay and made us feel completely at home.
Shangri-La Dubai has now become one of our favorite destinations for holidays and special occasions, and we eagerly look forward to returning on our third time.

I booked the Shangri La for week long conference for 115 people. The hotel surpassed all my expectations and nothing was too much trouble (and believe me we did test them a few times with last minute changes).
We stayed during Ramadan and held a private dinner by the pool on one evening, the food was incredible, large buffet in little carts and lots of choices.
I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a venue for a large conference.
