Pros:

The Reception staff. I interacted with about 4 different members of staff at various times of the day. All, without exception were friendly and professional.

Cons:

I found out on the last day that the terrace off the bar downstairs was closed due to work being done in the kitchen. No service was provided on the main terrace off reception. There was a small fridge behind the reception desk with a limited supply of cold drinks. In order to take advantage of the lovely terrace one had to go down the stairs and find a member of staff to serve one. I do not think this is the level of service that one should expect at a 4 star hotel.

Pros:

Great location on the banks of the Rhine and a short walk to the city centre; very comfortable room; tasty Italian food from Oliveto restaurant; peaceful location.

Cons:

There was no tea / coffee making facility on the room, which should be a basic facility for a 4-star hotel. There was no explanation about breakfast when we checked in. When we had room service, no one collected our finished trays.

Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, right in the city centre and close to everything. I especially loved the terrace with its beautiful view of the Rhine, and the view from my room was amazing as well. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The parking was convenient, and the breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of food. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back.

sehr gutes Frühstück und sehr bemühtes, freundliches Personal beim Frühstück,
die freundliche Eingangshalle mit der grandiosen Terrasse zum Rhein,
auch hier sehr freundliches Personal,
ruhige Lage trotz Stadtnähe,
kein Vergleich zu einem großen Hotel einer US-Kette ca. 1km flussabwärts ….
Das Ameron wird bei unserem nächsten Aufenthalt bestimmt erneut unser Reiseziel sein.

Cons:

Die Aufzüge sind etwas „in die Jahre“ gekommen und ich habe als Gehbehinderter keinen Aufzug zum Frühstücksraum gefundenAlles Andere war (s.o.) top
