Historic Hotel Corner Brook

We were one of the last visitors to stay at this hotel last week. :) I wish you good luck on the newest changes and venture. Thank you for always being so great and making our visits enjoyable over the last five years!

Great spot. Clean and comfortable

Unique history. Near city centre.

It's location is easily accessible. However, the surrounding is noisy with fumes from the paper mill. I did also like the staff and other people smoking around the property.

Property needs overhaul, no a/c. Staff were great.

The location was fine, quite convenient.
The building is quite old and not well kept up. The innkeeper didn't keep a good track of what rooms were cleaned, and actually unlocked the door, opened it, and appeared surprised to find us in residence. But hot water, reasonably clean linens, so I guess it was adequate. Barely.

The hotel itself wasn't too bad, nothing fancy. There was a severe lack of power outlets in the room, however. I had to go out and purchase an extension cord to be able to plug in my CPAP machine next to the bed. The hotel also asked for a $100 deposit on checkin, which we had not been told was necessary. Customers should be told about this ahead of time so we can be prepared.

Staff is nice and helpful.

This is an older building so the a/c is only in the hallways, not in the rooms so it was a bit stuffy unless webleft the door open, but we had a dog with us and couldn't do that. Otherwise its a nice convenient place

Hotel was updated and clean

When i walked through the doors all i could smell was cigarette smoke. It smelled like an old ash tray. I would have left and stayed somewhere else but couldn’t find any other place. I’ll never stay there again.

Excellent location. Courteous staff. Older, historic building with nice renovations. Comfy room. Softest, cleanest towels ever!

Bad area for crime , unsafe for customers, no air conditioning, rooms were old and musky , hotel was old, needs heavy renovations. Customer service was real friendly , but his hands were tied

I enjoyed the idea that it is a historical building and I like to put my money into a local property for accommodations. Although there was no A/C, we were thankful to have the fan. It was under renovations at the time of our visit but we understood that it is a historical building and were glad to be a part of staying there.

It was in the right location for our needs

Room was well prepared and clean with the added air freshener. Check in/check out was courteous and efficient. Good value. No disappointments or bad surprises.

Drug addicts and such. Even our taxi driver was bothered by us staying there. Warning is to stay in our rooms and not to travel around. No AC in the rooms and had to cool off by leaving the doors open. Which meant no sleep. Horrible experience.

It’s basically a place to crash. They are renovating, with parts of the hotel newly painted and carpeted. Our hall smelled musty and the beds were very creaky.
