Hotel Hermosa

Very good experience with Hermosa hotel. Clean rooms, nice staff, 30 minutes walk to Hermosa beach. Bike rental nearby, so you can enjoy LA. I was a little surprised with brrakfast - no typical american breakfast, more like stuff to go. Small portions, a bit expensive. Coffee was the best choice.

This was our second time staying here it’s a cute little boutique hotel with a pool, games, and a fun vibe. The first time we stayed in the room with the lift. It was pretty cool and unique, but my teenagers were not fans of the pull-out sofa.

So this time we got a room with two queen beds. The beds were comfy and the room was cute. It was a little cramped, but did the job. The ocean view was fantastic!!

We stayed two nights as we went to a Dodger game on Saturday. Before we left for the game I went up to the front desk and requested that our room be cleaned before we got back. We were disappointed after a long, fun day at the game to come back and our room hadn’t been touched.

The only other thing is items in the bathroom were stocked well. The hand soap and shampoo were almost out and the tissues ran out. We also only had enough towel sets for three people.

We would stay here again, but hope next time those things will be fixed.

Wonderful hotel! A short walk to downtown and the shoreline and other amenities if you needed something. The view of the ocean from the backyard patio was sublime! The rooms are comfortable, quiet and the bed was really comfy! Good breakfast choices at the cafe. Don't hesitate to stay here!

I like the lobby

The hotel is in a great location. Only a 4 min drive to the Hermosa strand....8 or 9 min drive to Redondo Beach pier. The only Wish List items we had were....The walls were pretty thin and we could hear conversations next door. The couch in the room was very hard and uncomfortable. If the balcony had a small table and 2 chairs, that would have been nice. Also, the windows high up that are unreachable, if they had a shade or blinds that would be nice as the morning light comes straight into the bedroom area. Other than that....we loved it!

Nice swimming pool with hot tub! Good location, walking distance from the beach!

The staff is really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is nice. It has a great back porch with games and lounging and a fantastic view of Hermosa. The room is nice. My only issue was the WiFi, which was a problem the whole trip. The staff went out of their way to get it working the first day, but it was spotty they rest of the time. If you are staying there and working, keep that in mind.

Good location that’s it

Parking is $35 per night and there are ZERO alternative parking options. I’ll never go again for that reason alone. It’s a cute budget hotel with a nice view. But it’s still a budget hotel. $35 a night bumps the ACTUAL price into luxury hotel range. If I wanted to spend almost $200 per night I’d literally just go stay at a nice hotel. Predatory parking vibes.

Hotel is conveniently located to all South Bay area and close to LAX, but not too close. Underground parking, no charge. A/C worked great. Beds comfortable. Has pool, but we didn't use.
TIP: Get a west side room and higher floor if you like quiet!
