The bed was so comfortable
Every time we turn the tv the volume was on highest, we lower it but the next time we turn it in it happened again and the pool not functioning, not a sign about repair or anything
it was clean and quiet.. i felt safe
no pool
Low price
Noisy up to midnight.
The staff was nice. Room had been recently renovated with new paint and laminated flooring.
The pool and hot tub were out of service and that was not on their website. There were ants in the room. The sleeper sofa had not been cleaned (cushions with stains on bot side, marijuana vape under the cushions and the bedding on the pull-out was not clean. The A/C was making a loud buzzing noise and wasn't even on, once in it was not blowing out cool air and the buzzing noise was louder.
bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good.
the property is alot older than the pictures. lobby - rooms- etc
The staff at night is wonderful . And very helpful full
Kind and very efficiante.
Nothing
Room clean and presentable.
Small bathroom. Not unexpected.
Husband booked this hotel, as he's a Choice Hotels fan and this Cortez property appeared on the Choice site. We ate at La Casita (tasty) and asked the server if she was familiar with the Turquoise Inn. She said no. Our son Googled the hotel and Google showed it was permanently closed. Uh oh. After coming up with possible plans b & c, we drove down the street and saw Turquoise was in fact, in business. The outside appearance, is, as others have commented, in poor shape. I saw a Best Western lighted sign of sorts, outside next to a trash can. The pool was emptied. Perhaps it was the lighting, but the hotel gave off a sketchy vibe. Our room was on the 2nd floor and after we inspected the room, found it was missing a shower curtain and there was no dial tone on the land line phone. My husband went to the desk and within 5 minutes, an associate brought by & installed the shower curtain. The A/C worked, though was too noisy for me (light sleeper) and water pressure was decent. The property pictures that appear on the Choice site or even Google, must be from when it was a BW. I can't say for sure, but know the room we had didn't look as advertised.
It was next to Cracker Barrel. Easy on/off freeway.
Had to switch rooms due to the hot water know in shower was missing. How do you not notice this while cleaning the room? Not an easy task after checking in late, unpacking for a shower and already getting undressed for it. Not to mention the change being confusing for my autistic daughter- she was so confused and non-compliant trying to get moved.
Honestly the only positive I can say is that the room was pretty clean and there were no bugs.
The pictures are deceiving. It says it has a pool and both the indoor and outdoor pools have clearly not been open in a very long time. The lobby and breakfast area smells like mold and mildew. The ice machine in the dining area was broken and had gross smelly water around it that was never cleaned in the 3 days. The breakfast doesn’t consist of much nor is it appetizing when it smells and isn’t very clean in there. There was furniture just blocking a whole hall/exit. The other emergency exit doors near us were chained shut. It doesn’t appear to be in a safe location and there are people out loitering, drinking and smoking. There also is not near enough parking and no extra parking anywhere. I can deal with a lot but this was not worth the money and I would not stay again or suggest anyone I know to stay there.
Location and size of rooms
Looks like there are renovating but it is very messy, dead trees in the courtyard, furniture and building materials everywhere. The lobby men’s bathroom had obviously not been clean in a few weeks even after letting the front desk know
Bed was large
Old but clean
My suite exceeded my expectations. The price I paid was more than reasonable and I was given a suite rather than just a room with a bed. Very clean and comfortable.
Breakfast offered several options, only thing I would add would be granola for the yougart.
Cheap, good location, room was decent size.
Pools are all out of order and breakfast was very basic.
