Extra tiny bathroom, but the shower was really good. Room was small but nicely appointed. The "closet" (a striped fabric shell with room for a few hangers); no drawers for other items. Bed and linens were lovely. And the rooms were exceptionally quiet.
Desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Upon checkin they gave us a "transit pass" for city buses and helped us take advantage of it! Even helped us get to Liechtenstein on the train (2 hr trip each way).
Their limited bar (first drink free) was lovely -- you got your drink and took it out to their "back yard" garden. Really nice. No service, but easy to walk back inside for a refill if you wanted.
The only downside was breakfast. A "small" breakfast option for half the price of the buffet gave you fruit & yogurt or 2 eggs and toast with coffee. None of it was anything special, but convenient and less expensive than most other options.
However, because the location was so absolutely perfect, we could overlook the shortfalls. And we would definitely return here on our next visit to Basel.

La formule du petit déjeuner est bien pensée : on peut choisir entre le buffet mais aussi des options moins chères (seulement boissons et croissants, seulement boissons et oeufs...).
Le personnel est souriant et à l'écoute. Plein de petites attentions sont mises en place : apéro de bienvenue, parapluie dans la chambre...
La chambre que j'occupais avait un petit balcon.
Was de tweede keer dat we hier overnachtten. Fijne locatie, binnen een paar minuten sta je in het oude centrum. Personeel is vriendelijk. Alles is schoon. Wat wij ook erg fijn vonden met het mooie weer is de heerlijke tuin. Kamers zijn prima. Fijne bedden.
Kamers zijn wellicht wat klein maar door de efficiënte indeling is dat geen probleem.

Le confort, l’emplacement, le petit jardin, la vue de notre chambre au 4e
L’exiguïté de la salle de bain, les wc presque sous le lavabo, la ventilation de la sdb très bruyante et surtout une très mauvaise insonorisation de la chambre, on entendait le bruit des voitures la chambre donnant sur un grand axe.
Tolles Frühstück im schönen Garten, sehr nettes Personal, gute Tipps und Hilfe, Fahrrad durfte untergestellt werden !
The hôtel is well localed. The room
Is small but very optimised. The hôtel staff has adviced us on how doing « the wickelfish in the Rhin » and the hôtel Loan us for free the wickelfish bag and towels. That was great !!
Great location. Easy walking access to the main attractions. Bus 30 across the street will take you to the railway station and airport bus in 2 minutes and leaves very frequently. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable.
Tiny bathroom, could barely turn around in there. If you have a room on the street side, it can be somewhat noisy, even with the window closed. Look for a room with "garden view" to avoid this I suppose.

Great little hotel one stop from the sbb train station and old town. Nice room, welcome drink and cool filtered water throughout hotel. Spring for the breakfast- lots of variety and a beautiful garden to eat it in. Tip: not every room has ac. So make sure to ask for it, if it’s hot.
