Really beautifully designed hotel with bright spacious rooms that overlook the Matterhorn and the village. The huge pool and spa area is a big perk. As is the large, welcoming bar area, which had live music each night while we were there. I appreciated the nice little modern gym next to the spa as well to get in some morning stretch stretching and light workout workouts before hitting the pistes. The delicious breakfast buffet had everything you could ask for… And some things I didn’t even know I COULD ask for! Spring rolls for breakfast? Never heard of that before but sign me up. My husband loved the machine that squeezes the oranges for fresh OJ right in front of your face.
The Beausite was arguably the finest hotel I have ever stayed in and I have previously stayed in Ritz Carltons, 4 Seasons’, and Langhams for comparison. It was wonderful in every way. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. Most notably, the view from our room was staggeringly beautiful. The staff were so wonderful and were ever so informative even prior to our arrival. I just can’t give it due justice here. The restaurants were superb. Breakfast buffet was extensive. And don’t forget the fondue hut! The pools in the spa were beautiful. I which I could live here.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms with an excellent view of the Matterhorn. However, there are several areas where the experience fell short.
First, breakfast was disappointing. The food selection was limited, and the service felt disengaged; staff appeared bored and unmotivated, which detracted from what should be a pleasant start to the day.
Second—and more importantly—the hotel showed a complete lack of flexibility during peak season. The property strongly enforces five-night minimum stays. Although we managed to book a three-night stay well in advance, circumstances beyond our control significantly impacted our trip.
On February 16, 2026, due to major disruptions in the Swiss rail system—including two avalanches and acts of vandalism—there were no trains operating to Zermatt. Despite maintaining continuous communication with the hotel, and being explicitly told that the first night would be refunded if trains were not running, we were ultimately marked as a no-show. This was indeed the case: it was physically impossible to reach Zermatt that day.
We arrived the following day, despite further avalanche-related disruptions near Randa. At that point, the hotel refused to refund the missed night and also declined to offer an additional night, even though availability was clearly visible on their own online booking system.
While the hotel is correct in stating that they do not control weather or transportation conditions, neither do guests. A more reasonable and customer-oriented approach—such as a partial refund or a goodwill adjustment—would have demonstrated fairness and understanding. Unfortunately, no such flexibility was offered, leaving the impression that policy mattered more than the guest experience
A beautiful, clean hotel with large, quiet rooms. The decor is gorgeous, the breakfast delicious and the gym, spa and outside jacuzzi just perfect. One of my favourite hotels. Even the electric shuttle pick up from the station is cute!
I loved it, would definitely go back!

Great location, staff were very helpful
The room was smaller than expected
From the arrival in Zermatt with complementary shuttle from the train station to the hotel, the amazing room from our room, the immaculate and relaxing spa delicious, to the delicious food - BEAUSiTE has everything you could ask for, for a wintery escape to Zermatt.
Location: The hotel has been renovated in recent years, and you can tell! It’s beautifully done. Sat further up Zermatt the views are brilliant, but still within easy walking distance to the main stations; Zermatt Train station, Sunnegga Funicular, Gornergrat Station (our fav!) and the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
Room: We stayed in a Double Room Matterhorn View (room number 601) - although no balcony the windows are plenty big enough to get a fantastic view. Definitely recommend upgrading to a view room if you can. Big bathroom with fab shower, and everything you could need, hair dryer, slippers, gowns, shampoo etc.
Food: On our first night we had fondue in the Witch’eeese Fondue Hut - this was a great experience. The fondue was good, but what made it was the private setting, in a cozy, clean and warm hut.
Breakfast was also great, with lots to choose from including made to order eggs.
Spa: Even if you aren’t a ‘spa person’ (like me!) I guarantee you’ll enjoy this. It was so peaceful when we stayed, with plenty of places to sit / lay - most times we had all the pools to ourselves. The heated outside pool, is a cosy 30c with fab views of the Matterhorn.
Ski Service: If you’re hiring skis while in Zermatt, remember to check with concierge. We got 15% off of ski, boot, helmet and poll hire. Not only that, your hire is delivered straight to a locker in the ski store (level -1 of the hotel) which you can access using your key card. The whole service was brilliant - definitely recommend.
If you’re debating between BEAUSiTE, and another hotel in Zermatt, choose BEAUSiTE! We’ll definitely be back.
