Our stay was very good and the staff members were pleasant with great personalities.
Pros:

Breakfast was great, however, I do not eat pork. The meal was great. Entrees item without cheese.

Cons:

Other than what was previously mentioned, everything else was great.

Hotel staff was very nice

Cons:

Area was A bit sketchy. Not very many restaurants nearby. Room was old, needs updating. Very poor lighting. Room furniture was broken in some spots. Room was very small. Breakfast was Ok, but nothing spectacular. The hallway carpet was buckling. Definitely not worth what I paid. I won't be staying there again.

$1000 charge for preexisting room damage

TLDR: this hotel charged me $1000 for pre-existing floor damage that I was not responsible for. staff was unhelpful and management was slow to respond. DO NOT STAY HERE AND TAKE PICTURES IF YOU REALLY MUST. super scammy behavior.
Stayed one night (Feb 3–4, 2026) at Ramada Inn Wyndham Golden Valley. Check-in was awkward, was "upgraded" to a king room on the upper floor when I requested the ground floor. My key card didn’t work, and the staff said the door battery was dead. When I finally entered the room, there was a large burn mark that clearly looked pre-existing.
After I checked out, a $1,000 charge showed up on my card with no notice or explanation. The hotel claims it was for carpet damage, but I did not cause it and have not received any documentation or proof. I’ve requested photos, an itemized report, and records, but have not been provided anything. will scale this up to small claims court if necessary. I'm omitting a lot of weird strange comments by the staff, which seemed harmless at the time but now seem rather suspicious.
I do not recommend staying here based on the experience and the unexplained, excessive charge. was room 334 if that counts for anything.

Great stay at a great price!
Pros:

We found this hotel when we were down visiting family, and it has become our go to stay every time we come to Minneapolis. It's well-kept, clean and spacious. Great amenities such as a happy hour and a good, free continental breakfast. It's quiet, and the staff are incredibly nice and helpful.

The guy at checkin was very nice. Gave direction on where to park closest to room etc.

Ramada met our needs for this weekend.
Pros:

Clean room with no carpeting, which we prefer as carpets cause lingering odors. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Great TV. Bathroom sink is separate from tub and toilet which allows more than one person to use the bathroom facilities at one time.

Cons:

Breakfast was fine. Eggs were good on our first morning; not so good the second morning we were there. Fresh bananas were available, as well as yogurt and juices to accompany the cereals, toast, etc. In our room, the bathroom with toilet and tub was tiny but adequate.
