The lady at the desk was very kind and helpful. Clean room and dog friendly. Close to the highway and lots of fast food nearby. Also, a really nice country route behind it where we saw the sun set in one direction and the pink Strawberry Moon rise. Fabulous. The dog loved the walk too!
Breakfast room pretty small.
I got a good rate for my stay, so can’t really complain.
I could smell the odor of cigarette smoke when I entered the room.
Cleanliness of the rooms
Cheap and cheerful.
Great for one night.
I couldn’t believe when I saw the boxes of donuts and McDonald’s sandwiches. The worst hotel breakfast I ever encountered.
Everything was so clean, beds were comfortable.
There was no coffee pot. I drink a lot of coffee.
Our room had the essentials needed to get a good night's rest and be on our way. They breakfast was good too; included a egg and cheese biscuit sandwich, fresh donuts, cereal options, and coffee.
The room was definitely dated and bathroom could use a steam cleaning.
Stay was cheap
The beds were hard as a rock, the air conditioner didn't work it was hot all night, the shower had a crack in it and there is mold on top of the shower ceiling. But other than that it was decent enough for the night we did spend there.
Average by the office
McDonald's egg sandwich
Location
Not clean even towels
It was a room to sleep in and there were no cockroaches or other bugs.
The hotel is an old Super 8. How do we know that? The wifi is still Super 8. They bought furniture from a hotel auction. How do we know that? The credenza in the room had a Hilton trademark on the door handle. The room was clean but showing its age. The thing that most disgusted us was that the room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The ice machine in the lobby was broken so the staff was distributing a cup of ice in a plastic bag. We did not dare try the breakfast.
Upon returning to our room the afternoon of the 1st day, we could not get in when using our key card. The door lock showed a red light (instead of green) when swiping our key card. The maintenance person was sent to unlock our door with the "master" key. After unlocking the door to our room, he fiddled with the lock a bit and then left. We did not hear from the front desk what had happened with the faulty lock. We assumed it had been fixed, but unfortunately, we were wrong! The red light always appeared on our room door lock for the remainder of our stay (4 days!). We were never told what the problem was until, at some point, we learned that some of the door locks in the facility were faulty from the factory (the locks worked OK for a period of time, then they did not!)
There were no instructions on how to work the wall air conditioner. In spite of trying to adjust the air conditioner, the 1st night it roared (very loudly) all night. We could never get it to run quietly; it was on (loudly), or off.
The fridge, at some time in the past, had an adjustment knob (for temperature). Unfortunately, it was set to warm when we arrived. We had to use some pliers to adjust the temperature colder.
In the bathroom sink, there was no cover to the drain. We had to be very careful not to drop a ring or earring in the sink, as it would have been gone down the drain forever.
There were several locations on the walls where there had been something attached in the past, but had been removed, leaving a dark spot on the wall. There appeared to be no attempt to repair the wall where the objects had been attached.
When flushing the toilet, the toilet would run constantly. It was discovered that the handle was binding on something inside the toilet and had to be jiggled. This maintenance issue was something we discovered. Every time the toilet was flushed, we had to make sure the toilet handle was positioned correctly so the toilet would not run constantly.
