Pros:

Close to town but just a little away from crowds.

Cons:

There were 5th grade school groups staying both nights we were there and it was loud. Hard to relax in the room and outside on the lawn. We came to the island to relax and slow down. Found it hard to relax with all the kids running around and being loud. Other than that, our stay was nice.

Cold but nice.
Pros:

The location is fabulous.

Cons:

The cost. A nicely appointed room but quite expensive for what you get but much of the cost is driven by location. There are far more comfortable rooms for better prices but other places.

Always an amazing stay. The porch is perfect to sit and rock and watch horses stroll by. View of the marina is beautiful
Pros:

Not a better hotel on the Island. Two great restaurants. Perfect location. Beautiful charm. I only get a room with a view

Pros:

It is a beautiful location. Could sit out front on chairs and relax.

Cons:

For the money we paid, I think we should have had a better site than a dirt pile. Especially since I reserved way in advance.

Overpriced in my opinion, but it has its charm for those who value a historic property.
Pros:

I thought our room had a nice view, as it was the lake view king. I loved the location, as it was close enough downtown to see it whenever we wanted but didn’t have to endure the craziness. And the baggage porters taking our things to and from the ferry was a nice bonus. The server at Ice House restaurant was amazing. Wish I had gotten her name because she was superb with our toddlers and her service. The Molton Brown toiletries were a nice surprise. We went for July 4th and could see fireworks from both ends of the island from our room.

Cons:

The staff was fine but it felt like we were bothering them when we needed something. The room floor was kind of gross, our toddlers were covered in black filth on their clothes from crawling on the floors. (However the bed and furniture seemed clean. The bathroom was also clean.) The WiFi was awful. There was no convenient way to get our stroller up from the ground level to the lobby level. People would leave their empty beverage containers in random common areas and hours later they were still there. (During the day, not overnight.)

Charming and quaint but walls are thin and noisy.
Pros:

Beautiful and charming property overlooking the harbor, pristine rooms and accommodations. The staff was excellent and the restaurant had fantastic food and service

Cons:

The walls are incredibly thin, and sound echos throughout. For an incredible expensive stay, I had a sleepless night as I was interrupted by other guests up and down the hallway and stairs
