A comfortable place to sleep and access the beach. That is all.

Location, clean room, comfortable bed.

Cons:

Parking decks were cramped. Elevators were always packed and very slow. Marijuana smells 24/7. What appeared to be underage drinking by the pool. Onsite food way too expensive and had bird shit covered floor in the restraunt area.

Pros:

We had a great time enjoying the amenities. We especially had great service at Loco Geko. We had Sophia as our server 2 mornings in a row and she was awesome. Very friendly and served us right away. The other staff was also friendly during lunch. We are from Ohio and we would definitely come back to visit for the next family vacation.

May 2026 Booking Experience
Pros:

During one of the busiest weeks of the summer, we were able to stay here and be helped with getting checked into our rooms at an earlier time, pleasantly greeted upon arrival. Erica, who checked us in provided exceptional customer service, making sure we were aware of all the best deals, perks, and amenities at the resort. Following, we were able to speak with Toya, the Guest Manager of the restore, whom also set the atmosphere with positive and exceptional customer service as well. Because of this experience and interaction, we will be gladly booking the next stay at Myrtle Beach here at Crown Reef Resort.

Crown Roach Resort
Pros:

We stayed at Crown Reef Resort and while check-in was smooth and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the overall experience was disappointing.
The room was visibly not very clean—dust and even leftover items (rhinestones) were found under the sink, which made us question how well it was cleaned. Amenities were minimal (one soap, small shampoo, no conditioner), so come prepared.
The “water park” is very underwhelming—just a few slides and a splash pad. Staff weren’t attentive, and there didn’t seem to be proper guidance or active supervision, so keep a close eye on kids.
We also saw water bugs throughout the property—one large one near the elevators the first night, several dead ones around the building the next day, and unfortunately one in our room as well, which was a major issue for us.
The arcade was a waste of money—definitely go offsite for better options.
The location is great (right on the beach), and the pools/hot tubs were the highlight. But rooms feel outdated (no smart TV), and the lazy river is nothing special.
Also expect a pushy timeshare pitch at check-in.
Overall, “you get what you pay for.” Most of our best experiences happened offsite.
