Room is in need of refurb. Very tatty, cobwebs, wardrobe dirty inside, bathroom shower is mouldy. No coffee machine in room but in pictures there is.
Breakfast, Luke warm food. Mushrooms were cold and poached egg was not cooked in middle. The white was raw. Coffee was lukewarm filter coffee. Pastries were cheap nasty ones.
Evening menu was below par. On website it says contemporary British & Mediterranean menu, with mouthwatering fish, sumptious lamb and seasonal delights.
Pie, burger etc. no lamb at all or seasonal delights dishes.
Breakfast staff were ok but no where to be seen when needed.
Website says refreshed bar area, again decor and furnishings were tatty
We liked the style of the room and enjoyed the cocktail happy hour.
The bath filled up quickly at a good temperature and the shower was good too.
The staff aimed to make the stay as pleasant as possible.
All the beds are singles with a topper.
The room was quite dusty around the furnishings.
It was a very good experience all round.
Very nice hotel, room little small but very good for a night away. Food was lovely
Breakfast was best we have ever had in a hotel
Room was not serviced, so had to ask for tea bags, milk etc. I thought that would have been the least they could do .
Not much
It looked good in the photos but upon arrival it was disappointing. We were told that because our booking was made through bookings.com there would be a £5 car parking charge which was not payable if booked directly with the hotel.
The room (18) was tatty and quite cold with a thin duvet. The breakfast table had not been wiped after previous sitters had left and relaying, with crumbs and sugar etc on the surface.
Lovely hotel would recommend

The location was great for getting to town . Easy to walk there
Room was not very clean dust all over the wardrobes bed was not very Comfy. Also change you for parking in there car park crazy. The breakfast was the terrible ! Sausage tasted like plastic the scrambled eggs I had had added milk or something looked like prison food really was bad . The carpet in the dining area was black with dirt should get rid of it looks disgusting. We had drink in there bar which was 17 pounds for 2 drinks way to expensive for hotel like this go pub or restaurant in town same drinks 12 pound or under . If the hotel lowered there price people would use the bar more . Never got asked how was your stay or breakfast or anything left over all disappointed
Lovely and comfortable
