It was pleasant, not sure I would stay again.
Pros:

I liked that there was a restaurant on site. The food was good. The service was great! The atmosphere was nice and pleasent. The bed was very comfortable. It was very clean for it to be such an old building.

Cons:

I did not like the smell. Although I knew the hotel was older and very true to its original styling, I did not expect the old, damp smell. As I walked in, I started to sneeze. I was able to get past it after a while. I think there should be a sign warning people that the floors are uneven and sloping. I was on the third floor, and the floors leaned towards the center of the building, which was a little concerning. The balconies were roped off. It was safe, I just was not expecting it.

I'm sentimental for the hotel but the prices are too high for my budget.
Cons:

Staffing level seemed both too high, lots of idle workers, yet too low, no one at the front desk. Workers lounging in the lobby.

Pros:

Ceiling fans and baseboards were dusty , building had odor of old building , changed rooms and the blinds were broken and to top it off we were looking forward to brunch in the restaurant the next day were informed that they would be closed - ver disappointing stay

Pros:

Beautiful hotel with great history behind it.

Cons:

There was a musty odor to the hotel and our room.I know the hotel is old but there was that odor.Beds were not that comfortable

Everything was great. Will definitely book again.
Pros:

I loved breakfast. The restaurant where it was served was very nice and clean. Service was good and fast!

Cons:

Although the food was good, I didn’t realize we had to pay. Most hotels offer complimentary breakfast.

Service lacking on this visit
Pros:

We stay at the Windsor several times a year when visiting family. This visit was below the usual Windsor standard. The first night we noticed the ceiling in our bathroom was leaking. We reported it to the front desk the next morning but no one ever came to fix it.

We never received housekeeping the first day even though the housekeeping cart was right outside our room when we left for the day at 10:30 am. Our final morning we were packing up when housekeeping knocked on the door and then tried to enter even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign up.

Sunday morning we ate breakfast at Rosemary & Thyme but were seated at a table right by the ac vent. We requested another table since the restaurant was not even half full, but were refused. Their solution was to place a large box over the vent, forcing one of us to sit at an angle at the table.

The Windsor is still the best hotel in Americus but they need to do better with their customer service.

Cons:

My wife has a small issue with the hair dryer, but it was replaced and everything was fine.

Cons:

Long walks in the halls . Unusual fittings on shower difficult to operate. Hard to load & unload car on front steps—no ramp slow service for breakfast
