Great location each cabin very good. The whole bar and lounge area was great and the staff exceptional ready to talk and with courtesy were very professional
Nothing except missed a doormat to brush off dirt and wildlife Pooh!
Very secluded, worlds away type vibe. Beautiful views.
It was well located near the wineglass bay track. It was good to have a spa, heated floors and king sized bed, though somehow we both didn’t sleep well.
It was good that they had a fantastic restaurant The Bay (highly recommend) on the premises. Breakfast was great!
While we enjoyed parts of our stay, several aspects did not meet expectations.
We were placed in one of the furthest cabins from the main restaurant, requiring around a 7-minute walk each way. The only view from our cabin was of an embankment next to the road. Some of the lights in the cabin were not working, and parts of the décor and fittings felt tired and dated. While we received a discounted rate, it still felt expensive for what was offered, especially compared to other options we considered. We had chosen to stay here as a treat, expecting a more scenic and relaxing setting, so this was disappointing.
Parking was not directly in front of the cabin, making it inconvenient to access our belongings. Check-in also took quite a while, likely due to understaffing, and because we were staying so far from reception and the restaurant, we missed what looked like a stunning sunset by the time we dropped our bags in the cabin and walked back.
The checkout experience was particularly disappointing. The day prior, we were granted a late checkout of 10:30am and advised to ask again in the morning if a later time was possible. After returning from an early hike, I asked at breakfast if we could check out later than 10:30am and was told no, so it was reasonable to understand that 10:30am remained our checkout time. We left the cabin at 10:30am, but as we were in one of the furthest cabins, it took additional time to walk back to reception. At 10:17am, I received a missed call, and when I returned it, I was spoken to in an annoyed tone about the keys not yet being returned, despite us still being within the agreed time. We were then met with similarly unfriendly expressions upon returning the keys.
While we understand it was a busy weekend, there was a lack of consideration that guests are there to relax and enjoy their holiday.
Location
Dinner.
Mould in bathroom.
Dated interior.
The cabin was beautiful but needed a bit of TLC, particularly the floor in cabin 12
Great view, lots of space and close to facilities
Nothing
The most comfortable bed in all of Tasmania! A beautiful location, close to nature and a pristine coastline.
A comfortable and spotlessly clean room, however the bathroom was fairly basic for the price.
The location
The lack of a smart tv to link Netflix too
