For one night it is OK, would not stay longer
Pros:

Location was good rooms were clean
Our view was beautiful
Breakfast was good
Convenient for cruise port

Cons:

Looks run down, pool area was not equipped with enough towels/chairs for the occupancy. When we requested clean pool towels, we were told they didn’t have any. Did not go to extra effort to accommodate
Lobby doors did not work
Daytime staff very pleasant, afternoon staff not as much
Not as expected for a Whyndham hotel

It’s rated three stars and if the elevator worked and the water fall worked it would have been three star experience

Elevator down, water fall not working, breakfast was below average, the food not the server her was great

I ask for full soap shampoo conditioner, I wrote it in a note as I left a tip you can see my pictures and they never filled those so that was a little disappointing

Would return with certain conditions. Keep in-mind, this is ocean front property (saltwater)
Pros:

Location - our room, facing the ocean , 4th floor, and next to pier. This property is located right on the beach. Keeping maintenance up has got to be expensive and a challenge. Yes, property seemed a bit rundown. Any of you that have visited properties on salt water locations know maintenance/appearance can be less than fresh (excluding 5*, most).
Breakfast - one of the very best! (versus the standard for this class of lodging). Breakfast staff keep fresh food coming out, cleaning VERY promptly, food was warm and tasty, I personally told one of the breakfast staff they were 'excellent, one of the best.' I am a tough grader. This breakfast operation/staff should be the example of 'how to do it' form most all hotels in this price range. Also, smiles and friendly.
Would I go back? Yes. But, depending on the room I want being available.
Room assigned was expensive, but I saw 'value' for me.

Cons:

1. BIG: The exhaust fan in the bathroom (small bathroom) did not work. Located in the far back area of the Room. 'Bad odors' were slow to disappear. Definitely not a happy face!
2. check-in was slow. And I was first in-line (early, 3:40pm). The front desk employee was both 'check-in' and taking 'reservations'. I was first in-line. But, waited while 'on-the-phone' reservations were made (what's available, type?, cost?, credit card, etc, etc. I was not happy. And still am not happy.
3. Got to room. 3 large towels. NO hand towels or wash clothes!? Went to busy front desk. Waited my turn. My turn, advise desk clerk of need for hand towels, etc.. 'Ok, will send note to housekeeping.' NEVER saw any towels to next morning. Actually, crossed paths with woman bring those towels to my/our room (around 9-10am?)??. Isn't that a bit LATE?
4. Lots of sand in my room (some our fault. but we washed of our shoes ((most of the time), and tacked sand into our room). We dealt with it. It's the Beach. But, still didn't like it!
5. Elevators seemed slow. But, they DID NOT rattle/shake/or noisy! They looked somewhat larger than most (was reasonably easy to accommodate a luggage cart and 3 people (of less than 'standard' size)).
