Asbury Ocean Club Hotel

On the surface, this is a new, high-end-looking condo building and hotel. The room itself is nice, but the ocean view is barely partial. The deck off the room has two mini chairs on a massive space, so there is limited ability to have a snack/cup of coffee and read a book. Furthermore, the construction site next door blows a warning horn every 10 minutes starting at 7 am. Not only can you not sleep in, but you also can't sit on the patio and listen to the horn. This new hotel needs significant work on its food service. The quality of the food is very poor, and every charge we signed for was double the cost on the check-out bill. The front desk fixed this at check-out. Lastly, the hotel parking fee is $80/day, which is outrageous for a place like Asbury Park.

Had a great time here. The property location is great. Walking distance to beach/shops/restaurants. Hotel is very nice.

It's a wonderful property overall. It's right across the beach. Large pool. It wasn't too busy, so atmosphere was very relaxing. I stayed in a standard King room, which wasn't large but good enough. It had a terrace too. The room had a lot of curtains covering sharp corners of walls which made it feel grand and cozy at the same time. A few minor cons would be some stains on said curtains and bed throw from complementary chocolate they give out upon arrival as well as peeling ceiling in the bathroom. Although, ceilings are very high, so unless one specifically looks up, its not noticeable. That being said for amount of money they charge, they should pay more attention to such details. Overall, however, it was great stay and I will definitely be back.

Beautiful, well-appointed hotel. The hotel is on a large floor in an oceanfront high-rise residence. The facilities were modern and beautiful. The rooms were luxurious with a large private deck. The pool overlooking the ocean was great too. The staff from the front desk, restaurant/bar, and pool were so friendly and helpful. Great beach access. The hotel supplies chairs and towels. We rented lounge chairs and umbrellas at the beach. The breakfast was really good too. We will definitely return.

It seems as though the hotel is severely understaffed. The staff are trying their best and are nice but definitely have too much to handle.

It took multiple hours and two phone calls for housekeeping to come clean our room. It was not cleaned until 7pm.

There isn't any signage for hotel room numbers. We didn't know how to locate our room since no one greeted us at reception or showed us to the room. When we asked an employee she said she didn't know and had just started working there.

The rooms are nice but the food isn't anything to write home about. The location is great so if you are looking for convenience in that regard it may be ok but overall it was a mediocre experience compared to the price per night. We will not be returning.

Great stay, great pool, great service. Also not so crowded that it's impossible to sit at the pool and enjoy the view. Asbury is also great and has lots to do.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back. This is a beautiful, modern property with a very relaxed feel. While most of the building consists of residences, the hotel portion is extremely tasteful and feels upscale without being over the top.

The rooms are spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully designed. One feature we especially enjoyed was the private outdoor sitting area attached to the room. Surrounded by trees, it feels secluded and is a great place to relax. The pool is another highlight. Located on the fourth floor, it has a great view of the beach and creates a peaceful atmosphere. The food was surprisingly good, the drinks were well made, and every staff member we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming.

There are a few things worth knowing before you book. The hotel appears to be somewhat understaffed, so service can be slow at times, especially when ordering food or drinks. Also, if you’re an early riser, don’t expect to grab a coffee before 7:00 AM because the coffee bar doesn’t open until then. Your only option is the coffee maker in your room.

The beach setup was probably our biggest disappointment. Although the hotel is directly across the street from the beach, it doesn’t have a private beach club or designated area. The hotel will provide towels and beach chairs for you to carry across the street, but you’ll still need to pay for beach access just like any member of the public, and you’re on your own once you get there.

We also had a frustrating experience at check in. We called the hotel that morning and were led to believe our room would be ready around noon. When we arrived, we were told something completely different and ended up waiting nearly four hours with nowhere to go. It was an avoidable situation that simply came down to poor communication and unfortunately left a negative first impression.

That said, once we adjusted our expectations, we had a very enjoyable stay. Now that we know how everything works, I think our next visit would be even better. It’s a really nice hotel in a great location, and with a few improvements to communication, staffing, and the beach experience, it would be outstanding.

For the price of this place, it’s unacceptable for the bar staff to give Super 8 Motel service. The rest of the staff was lovely and the facility was very nice.

Location couldn’t get any better. We were overlooking the beach and water. The pool and lounging areas were impressive!

We booked the dune loft and it was so worth it. Loved the space -- modern, clean and comfortable. Service was top notch -- honestly better than some other 4- or 5- star hotels I've stayed at. My husband and I came for our 5-year wedding anniversary celebration, and we definitely agreed this is one of few we will want to go out of our way to come back to.

service so far above and beyond, we didnt feel like we were in america! the pool and deck area is large and perfect for lounging and tanning, food delicious. the staff is A+++++.

Asbury Ocean Club is a fantastic place. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The entire establishment is superb. Although my review is generic, it's true.

This hotel is top of the line and the rooms, albeit expensive, are gorgous. It's a stunning layout and the pool overlooks the ocean with a spectular view. We were impressed with the menu execution at breakfast and lunch.

Lovely hotel, though pricey. If you can afford it, go for it. Everyone was helpful and friendly, and the location was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Very clean.

My husband and I stayed here during our wedding weekend and it was the most wonderful experience. The staff were so kind and so excited for us. They were eager to help with anything we needed and celebrated us all weekend long. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel; the food, the views, the rooms, the staff, all of it just wonderful!

Our stay at the Asbury Ocean Club was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

The room was stunning, beautifully designed, and offered the perfect relaxing retreat. We were equally impressed by the food and drinks, everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The location is perfect, but honestly, the vibe is so pristine and relaxing that it felt like we were hidden away on a gorgeous Caribbean island.

We highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. We cannot wait to come back.
