Please note that there is a charge of GBP 15 per night for pts. They are allowed in the bar and on the terrace but not in the restaurant while meals are being served.

Due to the current situation, the property is unable to offer breakfast and the pool is currently closed.

Bar meals are offered from Thursdays to Saturdays inclusive. Full English Breakfasts offered on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Continental breakfast from Monday to Fridays inclusive pre-booked when you checked in.

Lovely break in the Cotswolds
Pros:

Room was very nice, clean and bright. The bar was cosy with drinks prices reasonable.

Cons:

There wasn’t breakfast available every day. The room had no air conditioning in the current heatwave so had to rely on a fan which wasn’t sufficient. The bed mattress was a little tired, you could feel the springs. There was roof work going on which we wasn’t aware of so had to keep certain blinds shut as there were workmen on the roof all day. It was a shame the inside pool was not available.

Great little hotel.
Pros:

The room was great. It was a triple room with the single bed in a little side room on its own.

Cons:

The pool is closed. This needs to be updated on the website.

Nice and comfy old style hotel.
Pros:

L'hotel est en rénovation, particulièrement les chassis ce qui était fortement nécessaire.
Sinon, litterie de bonne qualité (point d'amélioration pour les oreillers un peu trop souples pour moi), chambre propre, calme et correctement équipée (le ventilateur était le bienvenu par ces chaleurs).
Petit déjeuner buffet pléthorique.
Bonne situation géographique pour explorer les environs et aller manger dans le restaurant de Jeremy Clarckson

Cons:

Un petit frigo pour garder l'eau au frais aurait été apprécié. En dehors de ça, tout était bien.

A beautiful property, the Stagg were very welcoming and friendly. A little Gem within Chipping Norton.
Pros:

The location was perfect, with parking at the rear. It was perfect for shops etc.

Cons:

We visited during a heatwave, so it was very hot within the building.

Pros:

The hotel service was so good and staff were so helpful and friendly. Specially I liked the breakfast. I will come again.

Pros:

Beautiful old building, with a beautiful courtyard, pub and dedicated, separate members lounge. The owner, Linda, was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The buffet style hot breakfast was nice and the continental had a wide selection. The room was spacious, clean and had good facilities, would stay again, good value for money in a great location. Blenheim palace is a must!

Cons:

The buffet breakfast would benefit from having some vegetarian options i.e. vegetarian sausages.
