Felt cheated and ripped off to be honest

I asked for a 2 bedroom this was not the case I was very upset we went down a long hallway to get to our room and when we opened the door there was a big king size bed I was like that weird but ok stepped further into the room and it was very small I looked then facing the other bed was another room with a king size bed and 1 bathroom right beside your head on the bed so I could see the friend in our room and we looked at each other from our beds and you can poop and talk to them while lying in bed gross not good !! So I went to the desk and told them they had us in the wrong I ordered a 2 bedroom and they proceeded to tell me because there was a door lol it was 2 bedroom but the other person has to

The view outside of the building is so stunning!
Pros:

The location and the view outside the hotel. The atmosphere inside is great!

Meh.
Pros:

The location was good.

Cons:

There was animal fur all over the room. It was gnarly. I’m allergic to both cats and dogs and it was caked to the curtains so when I would open them to let the light in it dusted me really bad and I had several asthma attacks.

Comfortable rooms and a great location — the perfect place to stay in Glenwood Springs
Pros:

The Maxwell Anderson is a really comfortable old hotel with attractively revamped rooms and a relaxed atmosphere. All the staff we encountered were super-friendly and efficient and the location is perfect, quiet but very close to restaurants and bars and with a nice view... and there's a great coffee shop (and handy brew pub) on site.

Cons:

The only thing to be aware of is that if you try to check in before 3pm, even if the room is ready, they'll charge you $25.

The Location and the Coffee Shop are always wonderful. We also love the art work and the whole vibe of the hotel.

Cons:

We visit this hotel 1-2x every year. This time it seemed like the staff wasn't as welcoming. Our room was also smaller than we have gotten in the past but was more expensive. It seemed like the side of the hotel we were on was also very busy and there was a lot of early morning noise. Other rooms we have had, seemed to be quieter. Just wasn't the same experience we have grown to love.

Light sleepers beware
Pros:

Staff was friendly, helpful, and responsive.

Cons:

This is a very old hotel and with that comes some modern day problems. The old hardwood floors were very squeaky, no sound proofing in the walls or doors, retro fitted for electrical and AC so did not have many plugs available and the AC was so loud.
