Everything was great. Very nice place.
Ben at the front desk was super helpful and friendly.
We stayed at Outbound Stowe for three nights in one of the cabins, and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. The cabin was advertised for four people, but everything inside — from the bed setup to the amenities — was only suitable for two. The sofa bed was tiny and uncomfortable, barely fitting two small children. The size of the cabin is TINY!!!!!!
When we checked in, we asked for an extra comforter and blanket. No one showed up for hours. The front desk was managed by just one person doing her best to handle everything alone. When we finally received the bedding, it was used and clearly not cleaned. We had to walk back to the reception in the cold — which is quite a distance — to request replacements.
Housekeeping was inconsistent and careless. They cleaned surfaces but never vacuumed. I had to personally chase the cleaners, not once but twice, to get basic cleaning done. Every day there was some miscommunication, and no one seemed accountable.
To make matters worse, our “cabin with a view” faced what looked like a water dump area. When I raised this concern, the staff said they’d “see what they could do,” but nothing was ever done.
For the price we paid, the experience was absolutely not worth it. The only positive thing I can say is that the location itself is beautiful — but that’s about it.
I rarely write negative reviews, but this stay was full of frustration from the moment we checked in until we left. Outbound Stowe seriously needs to improve its service quality, cleanliness, and communication.
I recently spent a few nights here and enjoyed my stay in a cabin, which was very comfy and cozy. The shower was nice and I appreciated that shampoo, conditioner and body wash are included. Plus. the bed was comfortable. I didn't use it during my stay, but the pool looked very inviting. The location is great, close to the center of Stowe but far enough outside that I didn't get stuck in town traffic. The cabins have kitchens and are stocked with some pots/pans/utensils for cooking, but there are also plenty of options for food nearby. It's a great jumping off point for hikes and other excursions in the area. And the staff I interacted with were helpful and accommodating.
Besides good location. Nothing else is acceptable. Will not recommend.
Our stay in the Pavilion was wonderful…room was clean and spacious.
The one room we stayed in had a damp musky smell to it. They did have a dehumidifier in there to try to help. The other room my family was in had a strong cologne smell in it. The front staff was not helpful when trying to extend our stay, we literally booked a room ourselves online. The pool area was very nice - could use more fire places and more hot tubs - the hot tub needs a handrail. Overall the place was pretty nice and clean and in a great location with onsite parking. But for $500 a night it could use some extra things and better front desk staff.
Room wasn’t ready until late in the day. Ck in was at 4 and it was 530 before the room was ready
Great location, and amenities but our room needed more attention as it was not clean. I had to clean spider webs in many areas, clean the bathroom floor as there was hair all over and the worst part was one of the beds was not changed over from the previous guest. There was dog hair all over the sheets and broken pieces of dog treat in between the sheets. There was only one person on staff so it took a bit for someone to come and change over the bed.
The room was a disappointment. We rented a poolside room and did not know that you share a common living area with three other rooms. This was not listed on the website so we felt mislead. It would be perfect for a family reunion, where you know your neighbors but completely uncomfortable when you don’t. The walls are paper thin and we heard our neighbors all night long. In addition, two of the lights in the room were not working and outlets on one side of the room didn’t work.
Great Stowe location, helpful staff, cool vibe, thin walls. There are sound machines in the room so that gives you a hint as to what the sound experience will be, Consider other options that offer a better value. It is on the bike/walking trail so that is a plus.
The room was nice and clean, as well as modern design. We liked the walking trail into town nice and close and easily accessible. The restaurant being close was also a benefit. The staff were great. Friendly, professional and helpful.
The property is very nice and they have good amenities. The room we booked, the king suite, did not match the photos in that the room was compartmentalized and small as opposed to the larger open room in the photos. There also isn’t a sliding door out to a patio and the bathroom wasn’t as it appeared either. Very disappointing given the “upgrade” this suite is supposed to entail. The floors were also sandy, but they were quick to fix for us. Overall it is a nice property. Just a little disappointed with the room given the photos and price. Would probably book a standard room if visiting again.
The property is beautiful!
Staff was very helpful
Staff were friendly. Hotel had a lot of amenities. Room cleanliness was subpar, bed sheets and towels had stains all over. Walls had dirty marks, floor was dirty. Outside door had a gap at the bottom. Good location bait disappointed with the room.
Beautiful surroundings.
Full bed vs queen; maybe I didn't see that when reserved.
Could use a bedside table for both sides of the bed.
Great customer service, reasonable price for the area, room & bathroom small but comfortable
Outbound Stowe was a great place for our girls getaway this fall. The rooms are cosy, the food and drinks were amazing, and the jacuzzi and fire pits create a relaxed and chill vibe.
Staff was great. Room was clean and cute. Only problem was sound coming from upper floor. Could hear talking, movement of guests above us. Also the heating and air cooling system kicked on often and was noisy. The restaurant was fine, bartender was great and food was tasty. Hot tub was not allowed to be used by children under 12, so we couldn’t take advantage of it with our kids. Good location. Beautiful pool. We used the 10% discount offer on hotel website to rent bikes and a bike trailer and enjoyed the rec path.
Very cozy and safe place.
