Enjoyable but disappointed with hotel as didn’t compare favourably with other 5* hotels and therefore deemed very expens

Location close to golf and sea front.

Cons:

Didn’t feel like 5*
Concierge chatting and looking at phones rather than being attentive to Customers.
Stained and dirty rugs in bar area, window ledges in room needing repaint, many areas in hotel needed care - didn’t expect this for 5*.
Breakfast was mediocre with no freshly cooked food just precooked which was not hot and disappointing.
Had to ask on each occasion for staff to take dirty plates away as they were left on the table whilst we were eating.

Pros:

We had booked on line late in the afternoon as I was unhappy with our booked accommodation. Staff good. Room exceptional though terrible view next to huge kitchen fans so we couldn't open the windows. Very comfortable bed. Spa and pool very good, clean, all items functioning perfectly and a sublime view. Wow.

Cons:

Smart TV so we could use
bbc iplayer or Netflix.

Very very overpriced, £800 for 2 nights is just not worth it, plus you can’t even get special access to the golf course.
