The location of the property was good, the room itself was ok ish. Some of the staff members could smile. Some couldn’t.

Cons:

If we had not been so tired we would have left. Please avoid this hotel it’s currently in the middle of some sort of renovation or something- there are skips outside the front full of chairs etc. The lobby itself is a real mess and stinks of a mix between weed, BO and human waste. The front door is being wedged open using a dirty old flip flop sandal.

The lift is in a real state as is the hallway leading up to our room with open roof tiles.

The room itself was ok and relatively tidy, but the mattress was very dirty under the sheets and the bath was full of pubic hair. The curtains had lots of stains and didn’t line up correctly on the rails.

Don’t bother paying for a ‘Standard’ room over the budget - they are the same. In the picture the difference was a pair of slippers and bath, we did not receive any slippers. Technically There was a bath - but it does not have any taps only a shower attached. So can’t be used as a bath - pointless and misleading in the information.

Also there is a kettle - but no cups or coffee or tea as pictured in the information. Just a kettle.

Also the television is missing a CI card so has no channels- pointless. The TV itself has live wires sticking out the back - a real mess.

If we had felt we could we would have complained - I feel it was a scam and we were miss sold the product.

Booking.com should be ashamed allowing this to be sold on its sight - it’s fraud. This comes from a longtime user of booking.com

I won’t be booking via the portal again due to this. It can’t be trusted to vet the quality and truthfulness of the product.

Avoid this hotel! Even though cheap money better spent elsewhere.

Thankfully me and my partner still had fun while out of the room - but very disappointing indeed.
