Lovely 50th wedding anniversary trip. Stay was peaceful. Staff were very accommodating and our room had a beautiful view.
Great balcony view. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Mattress was a little soft for me.
Location was great! Very quiet, room was very clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was delicious!!
Nothing
Stayed here because of the price and due to the time we were traveling through, I was unable to do a whole lot of research before booking. A member of our traveling party was on a budget so I thought this might be a good option.
The rooms were clean, I will say that much. They are very outdated and badly in need of upkeep. We were in the second building across the creek so if we needed to come back to the office, we had to drive. There is an elevator, which was good because we were on the fifth floor.
When you walk in, you're in the bedroom. The bed is too large for the space and you have to squeeze on both sides of the king size bed to get in. The bathroom is in the middle then a living/kitchen area.
Bathroom has a toilet and shower and is fairly small. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, the size of the toilet seat does not match the size of the toilet. Not good.
The living room with small dining table seemed okay. Didn't spend any time there other than to go to the balcony.
Couldn't see much of the river from the balcony. There was a lot of growth on the trees and weeds on that side unlike the other building.
It was also quiet loud when trying to go to sleep. Loud vehicles roaring their engines and I don't know if there were fireworks or what going off occasionally. This was supposed to have been much quieter than the building toward the front.
Safety - there is no secondary lock on the "front" door. They are quite old locks and may need manhandled to get in. Then on the "back" door to the balcony, there is a dead bolt that didn't lock. The only lock on that door was a push button.
We loaded up our vehicle in the morning and drove over for breakfast at 7 am. We would have liked to have eaten outside, but the tables looked quite dirty. There was nothing impressive about breakfast. I will say that the biscuits were good. The gravy wasn't even warm and the eggs were bland. I have stayed in a decent amount of hotels and I have never needed to have been served eggs and sausage before. You are unable to help yourself to the eggs, sausage links, and hashbrowns. You have to wait until someone comes out to serve you those items.
If you're looking for a motel that is clean and cheap, this may be the one for you. If I find myself back in the area again soon, I'll look elsewhere down the river.
The location and view to the stream
It was a good location
It was outdated
The staff is super friendly and always polite. I love sitting on my balcony and listening to the creek and feeding the ducks and geese.
I have no complaints.
I love the king size rooms and being able to go out on the balcony to watch and feed the ducks and groundhogs. The one little groundhog would stand on its hind legs to get food! We really enjoyed that part plus the roaring river or creek was just so peaceful! I could have just left the door opened and listened to that and fell asleep! It would be nice if you could put screens up to the back door or the back window. But I understand because of the crazy world we live in. You wouldn’t know if you were safe or not. But a nice thought anyway. But we had a good stay and enjoyed the free breakfast (well not really free. I feel like we paid for it with the price of our room) that came with it which was really good.
That they took out the big round table to your room so if you wanted to eat in the room you could and had a place to set your food! And they need more handicap rooms…
Location
The pictures the river did not show the rv camp full of rvs that was the view from the back. Or the view from the front of the old motel that needs to be torn down ..the room was very outdated. The bathroom was so small you could not turn around. The beds were very hard.
Very nice staff and affordable. Close to attractions.
Surrounding property’s are run down and could use some updating.
Great location. Very peaceful. Will be staying here again
Nothing
Dirty, room smelled of cigarette smoke and who knows what else, TV didn’t work, mold or something on bathroom ceiling, hairs that weren’t mine in shower and sink. Room had a weird lay out. Curtains were dirty and didn’t close all the way. View of a beautiful creek with an RV park on other side. Paid $150 per night for a room that should have been under $75. If I am paying that much for a room it better be clean and smell fresh.
The location was so perfect and being in the second building we didn’t have the noise of the traffic passing by
The room numbers on upper level floors could be a smidge bigger for first time guests not knowing how the floors go. We found our room very easily though.
