Everything was good
I can not think of anything bad.
Good location nice people working there
Was full of fruit bats and not good condition air conditioner leaking all over floor and the door didn’t lock all the way
I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Island Inn, and I can't express enough how terrible this place was. We checked in at 1 AM, exhausted after a long day of travel, but after just 30 minutes, we found ourselves checking out again and scrambling to find another hotel for nearly $400—$200 more than our original booking.
The moment we arrived, the atmosphere was unsettling. The walk to our room on the third floor was alarming, with hidden toilets scattered throughout the complex, overflowing trash cans, and an overall sense of neglect and dirtiness.
Upon entering our room, the dinginess hit us immediately. We pulled back the sheets to find them covered in blood stains—not exactly what you want to see, especially at that hour. When we reported this to the front desk, the staff member seemed completely unfazed. He provided us with “new” bedding, but when we opened it, it was stained with urine. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, we discovered a fridge coated in grime, remnants of cockroaches on the floor, and every towel in the bathroom was stained.
We made the decision to leave and find accommodations elsewhere, but when we returned to check out, the front office was locked. After calling the number on the door, the clerk instructed us to throw our key through a crack in the door, refusing to assist us further. It was incredibly frustrating and uncomfortable.
We walked to a nearby hotel at 1:30 AM, feeling more relieved to leave than anything else. Once we were settled in, we had to disinfect our luggage and ourselves just to feel clean again.
In summary, do yourself a favor and stay far away from the Island Inn. The living conditions in this space are simply unacceptable, and I cannot believe this establishment is still open for business. It was truly a nightmare experience.
Nothing
Everything
Oh my. The pictures do not represent the location current status. It is extremely run down and disgusting. Not worth the price I paid, not worth staying even if its the last hotel available. I was so disappointed, unsafe, uncomfortable, (the bed was low key comfortable), but uncomfortable on the way i felt in the room. Curtains all dirty and disgusting. Poorly cleaned. There was empty toilet paper rolls. The doors were destroyed and the bathroom door did not even close. I felt embarrassed to had my family stay there. I'm unsure how this is still in business, and unsure why it is part of Expedia. To top it all off, the lady in the morning was completely rude and unfriendly, (and no I didnt even complained or said anything to her). The night person, was not there when we arrived but was an absolute sweetheart! He was kind and nice. But the lady in the morning the complete opposite.
I couldn’t even stay there. There were holes in the walls, the bedsheets were all stained , ripped couches, dirty bathroom
Dirty
The whole place is rusty. Provided 2 cheap pillows per bed. A half a roll of toilet paper. 2 small towels.
We had to go and purchase additional pillows, towels and our own toilet paper.
The remote to the TV would not work I had to go to the office for new batteries and it still did not work. Then he gave me 2 additional remotes that did not work. We cut our trip short and checked out. There was a spider and a stink bug inside. And the toilet was leaking in the back and they put a small towel there.
nothing was pleasurable at this stay.
TV did not function. Floors were dirty and left black residue on my feet. No coffee maker. 50 dollar deposit and will be refunded 7-10 days
