St. Pete Beach Suites

We love this place -- third time we've stayed there. The sort of mom-and-pop feel and low-key vibe is excellent.

Clean and safe area for kids Pool was warm and clean.

There is no manager on site and no office. We had problems with the toilet running but no way to get help. Another guest said you had to have an app to report problems. We emailed twice with a question, several weeks before our arrival, and got no response. One day before our arrival we got a text saying our key would be in a lockbox. No instructions how to check out. People were partying outside till after midnight -- despite signs saying no noise after 10 PM -- but no one to enforce that, so we didn't get much sleep. Walls paper thin.

Get this: we submitted another review on Tripadvisor about this place but it has disappeared.

Stayed here a few years ago and things were a little nicer. Service was better pool was a little cleaner and some of the extras they advertise like wagons and beach, chairs, etc. were more available. Also, the laundry was not working and it does not appear. They plan to fix it anytime soon. Still a good value, but I was a little disappointed to see things have gone downhill

They have a "virtual" check in. Only positive is location to beach which is aboyt 5 minute walk. No one really on properry to address your needs unless you get lucky. Didn't get our check in info until an hour after we arrived. We had to call a number. Lady at desk promised we would get a text as soon as room was ready, which never happened. Suite very outdated and not well maintained. Stains on ceilings, peeling furniture, and dirty caulking around shower. Looks like decor hasn't been updated in 20 years. They sure charged a lot to stay but don't put any money back into the place. Not sure how they get the ratings they do. Would not stay there again considering how much we paid for a last minute getaway.

We loved the location and our room. It was quiet and even though the place was full we never felt crowded nor did we hear others above or next to us. We liked the kitchen and thought it was great for what we needed.

St Pete Beach Suites location is perfect for walking to the beach and to several restaurants. The vibe is low key for couples, singles and families. The hotel grounds are filled with ample seating, outdoor games, some beach toys, umbrellas and 2 pools. The staff was accomodating and very friendly.
I would have liked to have picked out our room based on photos and a full description. The room was adequate and clean, however we would have preferred an efficiency with a couch and a better equipped kitchen. When we had a neighbor above us we could easily hear them walking and sometimes talking.
We definitely would stay here again by choosing a different room.

Classic little Florida motel... Two motels joined to make one "resort". Hotel has been recently remodeled. Grounds and room were clean. Two pools, one was heated, one was not. We had a one bed suite. Extra sheets were provided in room. Extra linens and basic coffee pack available in a closet on grounds (very convenient). Room lacked hooks or a clothes line for wet suits and towels. Everything needed for the kitchen was provided. Checked in via a lockbox system. Parking was provided and convenient to our room. Motel was quiet and we felt like we had the two pools to ourselves whenever we went. Big common court yard with large yard games was available. The only downside was the cafe/club Cool Vibes that is located across the street from suite 301. Cool Vibes is open from 11AM to 3AM. It is very quiet until midnight or 1:30AM and then there is constant talking, laughing, guitar and harmonica playing, etc. from patrons outside of the club. If you are not in suite 301, you might not even hear it, but the weather was beautiful and we had our window open. The absolute best part of the hotel was the complimentary bikes. We used them two different days and rode all over the place. Some of the bikes were pretty good, but two were in poor shape. With a little attention, those bikes could be great. Very convenient for beach access and close to many places to eat. I would absolutely stay again.

I have previously stayed without issue, but this stay did not go as well. I have texted the hotel but did not receive a response. I left very early in the AM because I was unhappy. You should know that there isn’t anyone available at the hotel after 6PM, so if you have issue, there isn’t anyone there to address it. Picture if the room is 10PM - Security lights shine right in.

The spotlights were shining through the window all night, there was no hot water in the shower, when I went to use the tea kettle it was gross and dirty inside, and I couldn't wash it because there was no hot water. I brought my own tea cup and tried to microwave the water in it but after 4 minutes on high the water was lukewarm warm. I thought maybe it was my cup and I grabbed one of yours from the cabinet, it was dirty. So I left. I came here as a repeat customer but for what I paid I expected a hot shower and good nights sleep as a bare minimum. Neither was achieved.

Beautiful, clean property that’s close to the beach. The staff are extremely helpful.

Good location, nice pools, good common areas for groups

The proximity to beach was perfect. It was great to have the pool when it was too windy for the beach. We could cook in the kitchenette. The room was clean and felt new.

The location was great, a walk to the beach, Rick's Reef, and a place to get some retail therapy for the grandkids at the swimsuit store and more. Everyone broke up by 10:30 by the deck. Very clean!
