Had a reservation for this property and they did not inform me ahead of my stay that it was no longer open for business. Had to search for a new hotel.
Never mentioned anywhere that this is a COVID MOTEL! After we checked in there was “shelter in place” workers everywhere and they were extremely rude. They would not let us or our visitors in and out of the hotel without harassing us about our reservation. We had 2 rooms paid for but only were able to use one due to these WEIRD AND CRAZY rules that were, once again, NEVER MENTIONED! We ended up leaving early because of how HORRIBLE it was. DO NOT STAY HERE!
They wouldn’t even let me into my OWN room that I PAID for because I accidentally said the wrong room number when coming back late night. They started laughing and teasing me as if I was a homeless person off the street trying to steal a hotel room. They said I don’t have a room and I’m not on the list. $140 spent on a room and their security are thugs who kicked me out and threatened to beat me up if I didn’t leave. This was the most insane interaction I’ve ever experienced in my life... please for the love of god do not give this company any business.
The Hotel has converted into a program shelter, They did honor the reservation that was made before the conversion. No maid service during my 3 day stay.
It ws very good.
Everything was great just didnt have a mic
Skid row with bum fights is what youll see. This property claimed they list our reservation when in reality they were only accepting vouchers for the homeless. It says right on the frint door, Closed to the public. Do not recommend.
I have Stay in the past in this hotel I knew I was not the best but this tile was all bad the rims were so bad not clean the heather was broken and the weather was cold outside. Had to ask for a portable heather twice. Also they were questioning my guest when having visitors. They had a shelter going on some type of program and they did not tell me that when I made the reservation. I would never stay in this hotel again.
They over charged me and havent refunded
Terrible experience!!!! No AC in the room! Only heater is working and it’s summer time! Kids can’t sleep! Not worth the price that was charged! They can’t provide an electric fan! Parking is terrible too!!!
On two sides of the hotel are homeless encampments. Although it is near Hayes Valley neighborhood which has some good restaurants and shops, the Oasis Inn is not at a good location. Franklin Street also has lots of traffic.
The air conditioning didnt work but that was about it
I thought I was going to be stabbed, mid way threw the night there was a lady of the night demanding her pay
The Oasis is a modestly priced choice in the Civic Center area. The rooms are clean but the beds soft and room furniture shaky. While convenient, with parking, the area is beset by homeless encampments so you need to be prepared for occasional outbursts and to step around obstructions on the sidewalks. Right now (Feb 2020) there is some construction nearby so expect trucks and crews and beeping starting at 7 am. It seems the Oasis is used for foreign student programs (Basecamp), so there is an international hostel flavor. There were ants in the bathroom, but I have them at home, too.
This is just a sleeping place. Was too expensive in comparison to quality.
The guy working in the front desk was nice but facility is like a old motel.
Room was clean but no fridge was a disappointment.
The stay at the Oasis Inn was comfortable and just what we needed. Short walk to Bill Graham Civic Center if that's the location you're headed to. Just unfortunate that they do not have microwaves or fridges in the their rooms. Other than that it does the job!
Great location, reasonably priced, great staff...quiet for the location.
Quiet, big, and clean room. Just need to avoid some area while walking to the Union Square.
The hotel and rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom has bathtub but no stopper in the drain to use the bathtub. It does not have fridge, coffee maker in the room. The main problem is waiting area (front desk), it is too small, cold, inconvenient.
