Pros:

The uniqueness and history. The use of their own garden produce in the restaurant although I did not eat there; the menu looked good. Also the opportunity to buy fresh produce from the garden. The view and the location and that it was quiet

Cons:

Dust in room, unclean coffee pot, uncomfortable bed, unsafe steps into room and in hallway a spiral staircase with no gate. The grounds had old tables and junk lying around.

We did enjoy the hotel and the grounds and the view. I think it was over-priced though.
Pros:

The restaurant is beyond good! Best breakfast ever! The serving staff was excellent, as well (especially Lindsay, our dinner server).

Cons:

The couch and pull out bed were simpl in horrible condition. The couch itself was a sink-hole and the mattress was lumpy and unusable.

Pros:

The location was nice. The room we stayed in was in need of painting and they had removed tv from wall to view from bed area on wall.

Cons:

We had to go back into town to eat or drink. The restaurant and bar were closed Mon Tue.

It’s an ok hotel.
Pros:

The restaurant doesn’t open before 10am for breakfast and only on Sat and Sunday. We planned our evening around having dinner at the restaurant. But they closed a half hour earlier than published so we ate in our room. We bough a cutting board and some snackables but there was no table to lay our food out on. The lighting was harsh. The people who worked there are nice. The view is magnificent. It was nice to have a balcony but they are not very private.

Pros:

This is an older property but nicely maintained. It was a convenient location for what we were up to. Would have been nice to know that there was no air conditioning in advance for an August stay.
