A local break
Pros:

All really good apart from parts of the bathroom looking tired and the shower leaking. Also could do with a better shower head.

Perfect stay
Pros:

Had a lovely stay. Would have been nice to have conditioner in the shower and not shampoo and conditioner mixed but that would be the only thing I could fault, otherwise perfect!

Room and bed extremely well appointed
Pros:

Lovely setting and extremely comfortable.
The dinner was exciting and very efficiently served. The lounges were spacious allowing for quiet areas and privacy and all furnished with furniture appropriate to the building.
All the staff were friendly and willing to help in any way. We greatly enjoyed our overnight stay and would certainly recommend the hotel without reservation.

I have been to this lovely hotel/restaurant before but never stayed the night. I went as a party of 6 celebrating a special birthday. My room was beautiful as was the wet room - it was geared up for a disabled guest (which I wasn't) but didn't make that obvious. All the food we had (afternoon tea/dinner/breakfast) were beautifully prepared, fresh and so tasty. The three course evening meal was an absolute triumph, every morsel was lovely. Compliments to the chef! There is a fabulous spa, and the views of the gardens and beyond, staggering. The staff are a credit - so polite, helpful and competent. I will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel. All staff in the hotel and spa were brilliant, friendly, and welcoming. Couldn’t fault our stay. The restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. Perfect relaxing and quiet mini get away. We will be returning again.

Lovely little break away, gorgeous location, beautiful spa.
Amazing meal at the in-house dining.
Dog friendly. Really helpful staff.
A little hiccup with check-in and room but all sorted promptly. Would love to stay again.

Pros:

Very enjoyable 2 night stay. The restaurant was excellent with very good service. We had both the gourmet and a la carte menus. High quality spa with great views over the Devon countryside. Room was good and comfortable.

Pros:

Very tranquil with a lovely view from the spa. Very nice dinner and friendly staff.
The bedroom was let down by the quality of the bedding and uncomfortable pillows. They were not of the standard expected for a hotel charging these prices. The mattress, however, was very comfortable.
