Overall a very pleasant stay.
Pros:

An excellent hotel having very polite staff. The room was good, spacious and clean; with a coffee maker, kettle and refrigerator available in the room. The space in the bathroom was adequate. Breakfast was good too. There’s a tram stop just outside.

Cons:

Guests should be informed at the booking stage that they will be asked to pay a daily €50 deposit. This is the first time that it’s happened to me.

Pros:

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to both the main railway station and the long-distance coach station. The stop for the various tram lines heading into the city centre is practically right outside the hotel entrance. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The whole hotel is very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The international breakfast has practically everything you could want.

Cons:

The rooms facing the street are obviously noisier. But it’s nothing to worry about; the windows are well insulated, so you just need to close them and switch on the air conditioning (in summer).

A consistently excellent experience defined by wonderful dining at the Union restaurant and top-tier
Pros:

This was another very pleasant stay, maintaining the high standards from our previous visit. The rooms are well-appointed and the breakfast remains a highlight. I highly recommend the 'Union' restaurant—the menu is excellent and the staff are incredibly professional. If you are here over a weekend, their organized Sunday lunch is a must, though be sure to book in advance.
