Our day was great
Pros:

It said it had a continental breakfast. they need to State it is a "COLD" continental breakfast, most Continental breakfasts you have hot waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage & muffins. Including cereal and fruits juices and coffee. Super 8 is cereal bananas granola bars orange juice and coffee that's it. Other than that it was good.

The room had some minor damage, a missing lamp and the security latch lock was broke. But overall great stay just to lay your head for a night.

The smell of spicy in the building - receiptionist area and in a bathroom in the room
Dirty area around behind the swimming pool - back yard
The phone in my room was so dusty and dirty 😖. Like guys really clean up this phone 📞
Beds make noise during your sleep if you try to rotate your body.
No way you can open the windows- they are blocked.
The bath essentials are so low quality that you even cannot imagine.
THERE IS NO BREAKFAST INcluding!!!! just very simple coffee machine and few bananas. We cannot use a coffee machine it did not work.

The Super 8 is an good little hotel for 1 or 2 nights and if your are visiting.
Pros:

The Super 8 it's perfect to visit Santa cruz. It is very close to the beach and there are more restaurant arround.
The welcoming it was good and all equipments is available.

Cons:

The breakfast isn't too big ( banana, cereals, coffee, milk, orange juice) and you have to eat in your bedroom.
In addition the water of the shower is cold ...
