Quirky but very good …
Pros:

The Tides hotel is a quirky, cool hotel on the Maitai River in Nelson and it’s very close to the centre of town a short walk away. I couldn’t work out if it was dated or cutting edge, either way it has a distinctive 70s vibe. Rooms were spotlessly clean, with small terraces, but no USB charging ports. The bar and restaurant were very nice overlooking the river and food was very good. Upgrade to a riverside room it is definitely worth it.

Pleasant hotel conveniently located in town center
Pros:

The hotel was nicely decorated and very well-situated in the town. The restaurant terrace was a pleasant place to sit and have a relaxed meal.

Cons:

The room looked out on to the parking lot and so was a little noisy and not particularly pleasant as well as being a little cramped. The food service at the restaurant was quite slow.

Had a good stay thanks.
Pros:

Initiall I went to reception and noone was there and the phone line given wasn't answered. I had to go to the bar to find someone to check me in.

Cons:

Batteries were flat in my remote tv control.

Liebevoll gestaltetes Hotel mit sehr nettem und hilfsbereiten Personal und phantastischem Essen in sehr guter Lage
Pros:

Sehr schön gestaltetes Hotel im Artdeco Stil in schöner Lage mit toller Terrasse und traumhaftem Blick auf den Fluss!
Was besonders hervorzuheben ist, ist das phantastische Essen! Das Dinner war absolut erstklassig, die Lammschulter, das Wild und die Ente waren die reinste Gaumenfreude! Unbedingt probieren!
