Pros:

I dont like hotel with only one entrance and exits. The fake smile at the cash everytime i go out for a smoke.

The bed was clean. The other furniture in the room had dust on it. Parking garage looked run down and there were empty beer cans on the ground.

When checking in at the front desk the only spot that looks like you can park is a tow away zone, and actual parking is on the opposite side of block.

The elevator made a loud screeching sound. It felt somewhat scary to use it but my room was on the fifth floor so I couldn’t bring all my luggage up the stairs. I could hear the elevator from my room every time it was used.

I disliked the homeless harassing guests outside the hotel, security should be on property, room service our towels got taken away left with only one, with two guests in room,

The breakfast was very good and the employee very friendly.

The hotel is poorly kept. It is very run down and dirty and in need of some serious TLC. My room had not been cleaned and looked like there had been a pretty decent party in it. I was moved to another room which was reasonable and was told I would be refunded one night. That did not happen. The hotel itself is not in a great spot. Lots of shifty folks around. Parking garage is disgusting, poorly lit and not secure. Signs at the front desk say not to leave anything in your car.
The staff was reasonably helpful and I think they are doing their best, but I would not stay here again.

Pros:

The room itself was excellent and was a great price, but I had to walk my dogs late at night on the downtown city streets and there is no grass or green space near by. My dogs would defend me from anyone, so I felt safe enough with them, but downtown Timmins is a rough place at 2 am on a Saturday night. It does not feel safe.
