NH Marina Portimao Resort

Fabulous steak—perfectly cooked with that delicious BBQ flavour. The sides were just as tasty and really complemented the meal. Service was excellent too, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

I’d like to first of all begin to start off by saying that the views were amazing. The lobby smelled amazing staff communication was amazing. I didn’t have to worry about language barriers. I couldn’t get enough of the sweets at the reception desk they were amazing some of them had to come with me on the last day of course. On my way to the room, I couldn’t get enough of the view of the poolside also part of the marina view. When I did get to my room, I walked in. It was very spacious. There was a lot of room. The kitchen area was cute. The window view was amazing because cause i got a nice view of the poolside. The only downside of the room was just the fact that the lighting wasn’t that good. If I wanted to get ready in the main room, I did have to use my ring light if I was doing my make up during the evening. As for the bathroom the lighting it was okay but once again for clear views I had to use my ring light. Air conditioner was amazing. I loved turning up the temperature. Buffet was class the dining area view was gorgeous.

We were so happy to be given a room in the Marina Deck on the bottom floor and right opposite the swimming pool. Such a great location! We could sit on our patio area and then relax by the pool! Perfect!
Our room was big and had everything we needed. The shower was amazing. One of the best showers we’ve had whilst being away.
Everything was very clean and tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful.
We loved the food. Breakfast was a special highlight. We went halfboard and enjoyed tasty evening meals. The quality and presentation of the food was excellent.
The location of the hotel was perfect for us. The views were breath-taking and everything was but a short walk away, including the beach.
Our weather in early April was mixed but we did enjoy 4 hot and sunny days over the week.
To get around we used Uber - very reasonable for exploring the local area.
We loved the hotel. And we loved Portugal.

I have stayed in this Hotel several times. its in a great location and the service is very good, but I have to say that the bathroom was looking very tiered this time.

Beautiful restaurant amazing food the quality and service was incredible. Humberto’s serve was so personal he remembered our kids names and used them to address them whilst eating. The views are great of the marina too!

Nice room facilities and a good range of breakfast options. Staff were friendly and Uber travel was cheap to get around the local area.

We stayed for a month and the best part were the people of the hotel. When we had problems they were quick and gracious to fix them for us. The hotel is showing its age and we needed nonslip added to the bathtub type shower. There are no grab rails but the towel bar helped for getting in and out of the tub. Not great for anyone with any mobility problems. There is an extra charge if you request a handicap room.
There is a kitchen with a netspresso coffee machine but at a cost of 5 euros per capsule. Bring your own or go to the Spar which is quite a walk. There is also a kettle and microwave. Only one of the three can be plugged in at a time. There are no pots and pans for cooking and the bowls are about one and a half centimetres deep so they hold barely enough for cereal.
The lighting in the kitchen and everywhere else is marginal with poorly designed fixtures and tiny bulbs. And no USB charge points and few electrical outlets in every room to plug adapters into.
Avoid going to the hotel breakfast as you can walk across the street to small restaurant beside the surf school and get a great breakfast for less than half what by wants. And go back there for happy hour.Or walk down the boardwalk to find lots of other spots for meals.
To finish on a more positive note, the bed in the unit we had was comfortable and the bathroom had lots of hot water.
And a boat trip down the coast is so worth it.

Stayed for 5 nights over New Year and was amazing! The staff are great, friendly approachable and attentive. Shout out to Raphael who checked us in and was very attentive. Recommended activities and where to go.
Room was a walk down the marina from the main hotel and restaurants - but was perfect for us.
Breakfast offering was great, some mornings we had to wait a short while for a table but understandable as we came at peak time - and staff friendliness made up for it .

Room was clean and had a kitchenette. On my husbands birthday champagne and a cake was sent to the room, however we never said it was his birthday - well done I think someone noticed on his passport - now that’s an extra special touch !!

The location is good and the hotel presents acceptable standards however, it is evident that the facilities require renewal.
The rooms appear dated and more importantly, the mattresses are of very poor quality. As a result, I slept extremely badly during my stay.

Given that proper rest is a fundamental and essential aspect of any hotel accommodation, this deficiency significantly affected my experience and cannot be considered a minor issue.

On the positive side, the breakfast was good and met reasonable expectations and the staff were consistently friendly and professional.

Due to the unsatisfactory sleep quality, i will not return to this hotel.

The food was amazing and the staff so helpful. Every meal was a pleasure. Very short walk to the beach also (Praia da Rocha) and you can take walks on the broadwalk too.

I had a wonderful stay. The service was great, the staff were incredibly kind and charming, and the room was cozy and welcoming.

Very nice and friendly stuff, good food, nice, big and clean rooms. Location is very good too. Worth of money, definetely.
