I went to seek assistance from the hotel. I was treated immediately with courtesy and helpfulness. The person who helped me is a credit to your hotel.
So this place wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either…
The rooms weren’t overly clean with dirt all round the skirting boards and grimy floors. The beds were rock hard and not great for getting a good nights sleep. Also we only got one teabag so couldn’t even have a cup of tea each on arrival. Also the room had two temperatures freezing cold or boiling hot.
However it was a really good location, the staff were nice and it had free parking so it could have been worse.
I wouldn’t stay here again if I returned to Carlisle but I have stayed in a lot worse
Good Value IBIS hotel.
Rooms a bit dated but clean comfy bed and fantastic shower with good soap and hot water.
Easy checking in. Staff polite breakfast staff friendly and helpful. Good Breakfast and choice, great value.
Hotel striving to be green.
Would stay here again if in the town. Good access to town nightlife and sights. Good parking
We stayed at the ibis Carlisle City Centre whilst on our way to Gretna.
The hotel was easy to find and very central, only a five minute walk from the main station.
The road can be a little lively as its on the main street with a lot of pubs and clubs but we didn't notice too much noise from our room.
Check in was easy and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The rooms are a little dated and basic but for a stop off or overnight stay it had everything we needed.
The breakfast is really good and the late checkout was very much appreciated!
Clean room, bedroom doors could do with oiling as I was awoken by the squeak of others doors first thing in the am on floor 2
Central for everything
Shame en-suite smelt of sewage odour
Staff all very friendly and helpful, the rooms are starting to look a bit tired
Perfect for a short overnight stay. Clean and tidy, great breakfast for £8!
I booked after 11pm and arrived at 1:30am as I needed to break up a long motorway journey. The 24hrs reception meant no problems.
Ok hotel at the centre of Carlisle.
Meet all the needs that I was looking for
I didn’t have high hopes for the Ibis in Carlisle, and had only booked it for somewhere to sleep but it was dismal. All soaps, shampoo and shower gel were empty. Kettle wedged behind the TV and we had to ask for milk and teabags. Room was boiling and really noisy from street noise!!
Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Room basic but clean. Excellent shower. Free parking very useful. Excellent breakfast, wide selection of food items, freshly prepared and breakdast staff were friendly and attentive.
I have rated this as a budget hotel. It is on a par with a travelodge. Its basic and clean and does the job. It is in a good position, easy walk to city centre attractions and restaurants its 5 mins to the railway station. My son and i had a family room with a double and single bed. Its not clear from the listing that parking is availble free but you validate it at reception. I made the mistake of paying in the car park on arrival, as the signs in the car park say!
1 night stay. Walk in booking. Personally I thought £75.60 was a little expensive. For just a room. Room basic. Bed comfortable. Nice shower
Free parking for the customers and close to the high street with all shopping facilities nearby
Did not sleep all night, the noise from the below Alien night club and the strip bar from 10pm to 7am was ABYSMAL! Also booked with Expedia at one cost and was charged DOUBLE at the property. Breakfast was OK and edible.
Lovely stay room was great shower was a bit slippy a mat might be better breakfast was great plenty to choose from staff were all very nice our dog enjoyed himself as well
Good location and easy to find. Large car park behind the hotel. Check in was easy and staff friendly and helpful. The rooms are starting to look a little shabby but comfortable. Overall good .
Hotel is lokking a little ropey around the edges. The carpet on the corridors was filthy and needs a good clean. The lift also was quite dirty. The room itself was clean but basic. The bed however was comfortable. There was no remote for the TV so had to operate manually. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.
