Disappointing Experience – Lack of Flexibility and Poor Communication

I booked Hotel Salymar in Cádiz with high expectations, but my experience was disappointing. Due to a booking date error (made for the wrong night), I attempted to correct or cancel the reservation within 24 hours. Unfortunately, the hotel showed no flexibility and refused to modify or cancel without charging a fee, even though the room was not occupied and the request was made well in advance of check-in.

Communication with the staff was rigid and unhelpful, focusing more on enforcing the fee than finding a customer-friendly solution. For a hotel that presents itself as service-oriented, this approach is very disappointing.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was negative, and I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who value flexibility and customer support.

Muy céntrico y

Lovely and very clean hotel. Room was super small, but it was very clean.
The staff was wonderful and helpful.
The small cooler/fridge was very useful, just enough for keeping the water slightly cool, from room temperatures.
Stayed with my son and we will return.

Muy bien, a pesar de estar en obras está todo muy limpio y no se notan para nada las obras, he vuelto a ir después de mucho tiempo y ha mejorado

Selv med ombygning af receptionen og morgenmadsrestauranten var det et skønt ophold.

Hotel situado en el centro se San Fernando. Muy recomendable para moverte desde allí a otras localidades cercanas, ya que está situado justo en frente del tranvía.

Estancia perfecta, limpieza, personal, desayuno. Todo muy bien.

Hotel nel centro di San Fernando, comodo per visitare Cadice tramite il tram che passa proprio davanti l’hotel.
Personale gentile, colazione se non è compresa a mio giudizio un po’ cara.
Comodo il servizio garage a pochi metri dall’hotel.

Google doesnt really show a good way to the hotel- for some reason.
Hotel provides paid parking - I would opt of it for a different option! Free street parking or any other parking around - would be my choice. Getting to the assigned hotel parking ( it is close to the hotel- like 50 m from it) is very tricky as well as getting out of it. Garage entrance is super winding & narrow as well as parking space itself.
Lots of restaurants & vivid life after 8- 9 pm - its fun to enjoy, especially because you do not get to hear anything when back to your room.
There was breakfast available for an extra charge, we didnt get it, but people looked pretty happy having it.

Dispones de dos almohadas de diferente grosor y dureza. Habitación luminosa y muy nueva

Staff was great, very nice, some nicer than others, but overall a very clean and pleasant stay. Keep in mind that some of the rooms are two twin beds that are put together and not one single queen bed.
