Would have stayed longer than the week. Beautiful colours and palm trees all over. Had a superior room with great facilities. The weather was kind for early February and we had no problem at all getting a sun lounger. Food was actually really good and a lot of choice. Salads and coleslaws were great and the theme nights were varied too. Staff everywhere were friendly and the karaoke was great. Overall a great atmosphere. When I arrived in the afternoon I saw people drunk and screeching - shouting and laughing in reception and I didn’t want to be there and just go home. Luckily I never saw that again and it was very peaceful.

A great walk across the path to Caleta looked like you were in a moon crater and we walked it for the scenery a few times.

Unfortunately the Jet2 trips are beyond expensive so we chose to hire a car for two days.

The accommodation was not an hotel but an hostel, not cognisant after several plea with staff one of us has bilateral knee pains , staff was very rude , bedsheets were thin and dirty , refused to be changed , drainage offensive smell , no fan , no air conditioner 😡🤔🤷🏽‍♀️

We stayed at this hotel 28/1/2026 to 4/2/2026 th3 hotel itself is nice , restaraunt is quite nice plenty of places to sit but food wise there were not much choice and me my self i found it to be not piping hot and sometimes if you went for something it wasnt there but give them their due if you went to the staff they would help you ,the out side were nice there is a bar near the pools as the main bar doesnt open till late afternoon but that ok in the evening when we had dinner we would have a couple of drinks then take some back to our room ,our room was nice a fridge and a kettle plus there were shops on site so you could buy milk and such as that you could have your room cleaned if you wanted to fresh towels , but out side the hotel there is nothing but houses there are a couple of bars down the road but other then that nothing we found bennys bar to be a nice one the next town called callista is about 45 mins walking on the coastal path as to which you can see and feed the chip monks which we did calista is a lovely place plenty more bars there and also a market there on a sunday and a tuesday its more active then antigua would we go again to this hotel eerrmm no but like i say its a nice hotel its just the location we didnt like

The hotel, Internal & External looks tired.

Not very appealing to guests. 

There are no ashtrays anywhere. Loads of cardboard cups used. Cigarettes stubbed out between the brickwork joints in walls.

Negatives.

Food very average, lukewarm. 1 microwave available.
Soup repetitive, vegetable all the time even if labelled different.
Desserts slightly better.

Room.

Room safe €41 euros per week now,plus €10 euro deposit. Expensive. Considering a budget hotel.
Guests may refrain from purchasing due to the cost.
But be aware.
Actual room security very poor.

Our patio door could easily been entered with a standard knife.

As the disclaimer states no liability for loss.
Unless in Room safe.
In my opinion safe a must.

Hot water.
Beware. Standard wall mount point of use heater.
Shower hot water will last no longer than 5 minutes 1 person.
The recovery time on the heater 30 minutes. Until the next person can shower.
Good luck for a family of four.

Slight sewage smell coming from the bathroom floor drains. Overcome this purchased 2L pine disinfectant from the hotel shop.

Housekeeping 
5/10.
Towels changed. Bedding once a week.
Cleaning lack lustre.

Reception. 

On departing, Handed back room & safe key.
Received the €10 euro safe deposit.
Receptionist did not even ask how the stay was etc. Or goodbye, quite rude.

Also mention the sports bar 5 minute walk.
San Miguel large €2.30 bargain.
Brilliant.

Would we visit again.

The Costa Tropical is at the lower end unfortunately. 

Globales need to invest heavily.

i’ve enjoyed my stay here but probably wouldn’t come back. firstly the location is okay… you’re just off of a bigger, main town and we took the rentable e scooters there and back (which was so so fun) but could have got a taxi for €4 but we wanted to have a laugh. area is quiet and we felt safe. did have a few sketchy looking groups around but you can expect that anywhere you go.
the atmosphere at the bar at night is a bit depressing for a young couple. great for bigger families, especially if you like a good strong drink. music was appalling. honestly i’d say that was the only negative i can say about this hotel. crappy covers played on youtube and no one skipping the few minute long adds in between. even more overwhelming when the volume is super high. if they maybe invested in a music account even on spotify with some playlists without ads it would have made the world of difference.
the food was actually decent. plenty of salad and healthy options… each night was a different theme. sure it’s not the best quality of food but the staff set it out nicely and always ensure food has been replenished. we left each meal satisfied.
all inclusive drinks are great. plenty of options of cocktails, spirits, beers and wines with coffee on hand all the time.
room was bang average with everything you could want. hot drink making facilities, shampoo/shower gel, hand wash, towel, toilets roll etc.
room was cleaned almost every day. we stayed for a week and weren’t done twice in total since staying here but when it was done the housekeeper did a decent job.
the staff here work super hard keeping the premises clean and tidy, being on hand to help.
all inclusive drinks at the bar finish at 11 so after that you’ll need to pay your own however after ordering a pepsi at about 23:20 then not realising that we had to pay the lovely bar man let us off just once which we really appreciated the decency as he could tell we didn’t realise.
not much in a ways of entertainment but for what we wanted to do (go out adventuring) the resort was everything we could ask for.
staff at desk helped us order taxis and gave us advice when we asked. convenience shop and gift shop on site. plenty more facilities to use but we didn’t use those.

overall i give this a 4/5. constructive criticism would be to sort out the music situation.

Hotel in a quiet location with a lovely coastal walk into Caleta
Rooms are spacious and we had a fabulous view of the pool and sea.
Really large salt water swimming pool
When we visited they were busy painting the outside of the hotel ready for the season
On the down side, selection of food was limited compared to other all inclusive hotels we visited with no grill stations or food being cooked in front of the customers.
The staff are all pleasant and reception staff were really helpful and gave us details and timetables for the local buses

This is the worse all inclusive hotel ive ever stayed at 😪. The Hotel is in the middle of no where if you want any type of entertainment you have to take a 10 minute taxi ride. Food was 1 star ⭐

Las instalaciones se ven ,que las han reformado.lo que si podría la tele en la habitación.y las cortinas de la habitación, también podría unas que no pase el sol ya que una vez que amanece traspasa el sol .como que son pequeñas y no llegan a cubrir toda la ventana, igual que las del balcón

El personal y la ubicación

On arrival not impressed lift not big enough for wheelchair and told some stuff that we thought picked up wrong no we did not rooms basic ours over looking pool as asked so that was ok but not proper locks and two single beds but we made do no cleaning gets done at all had to buy cleaning stuff do ourself for toilet and shower never done beds or gave fresh towels had to go and ask on day five and toilet roll so be warned food horrific not a great selection had to eat out every day managed breakfast but lived on boiled egg bread rolls staff rude and snacks consist of burger hot dog and chips all cold and no drinks inside restaurant apart from fruit juice at morning and coffee all inclusive shuts 11 entertainment is music being played on dj set horrendous the people staying treat like a bloody 18-30s running up and down corridors shouting swearing bar opens at 10 at pool and night one unsure as we had to go out every day due to how bad tried to get rep who basically runs in and runs out lots of complaints we were gobsmacked huge complaint in to jet2 so please please trust me if you are booked get it cancelled it is so run down and appalling we have been all over world and furtventura few times never had this ever disgrace even balcony filthy never been cleaned and bedroom doors not safe no room safe either and can’t even buy one so had to take stuff with me at all times it’s deffo not a 3 star not even getting 1 from us

het personeel achter de receptie heeft mij heel goed geholpen tijdens mijn verblijf toen mijn echtgenoot in het ziekenhuis verbleef. Ook de dames van de reiniging, bijzonder aardig en goed.

We had two weeks in a Superior double room with air-conditioning. Room was clean, comfy beds, spacious bathroom and large tv with some English channels. Patio with table and chairs, and a front garden. Towels changed every 2/3 days and beds changed twice. Food is typical of A/I hotels but not as much choice as we have had, but always something nice to eat, although could be hotter. The swimming pool area is very spacious with lots of sunbeds. Small supermarket on site was very good and we found some items cheaper than in ones in Caleta. What let's this hotel down for us is nowhere to sit in the evening. The small bar area with a few tables and chairs is usually full before dinner. Tv on, music blaring and everyone shouting to converse with one another. Also the smoke drifting in from outside seating areas. Lots of tables and chairs outside but full of smokers . If you are a non smoker this is not something you can sit with. We ended up taking a drink back to our room and watching tv most nights. Such a shame as the evenings could have been perfect with a lounge room with background music.
