It is a highlight to my trip, a relaxed, comfortable stop on my journey to Atikokan.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent, lots of variety & nutritious. The friendly staff person was a bonus.

Cons:

I cannot think of one thing, I love everything about this place, especially how accommodating it is for my dog. Also, honouring my request for the same room each time I visit.

Booking confusion!
Pros:

Facilities were nice and room was clean. Breakfast lady was very nice and attentive, she kept things clean and full.

Cons:

Booked my room via booking.com 2 days in advance and indicated I was travelling with a pet, so required a pet friendly room. I booked and paid for a standard room with 2 queen beds. On the day of check in, the hotel contacted me 1 hour before my arrival time of 645 pm, that all they had avail for pet friendly rooms was 1 bed and a couch. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to accept this but was not happy since I booked 2 queen beds and I had another long day of driving the next day and we both needed a good night sleep. The lady that checked me in even said they had lots of prior complaints about booking confusion. At checkout the following morning I asked if they could waive the $20 pet fee since my booking was messed up and the lady said my room was actually upgraded. In my world a room with 2 queen beds is much better than a room with 1 bed and a couch. At this point I was referred to the manager. This is where things went sideways, the manager came out with an attutude and basically implied the booking error was completely my fault even though I indicated I was travelling with a pet in the original booking. I could tell the manager was not willing to budge on the waiver of the pet fee especially when he dismissed me and walked back to his office. Apparently from a customer service perspective he is Ok with a bad review instead of agreeing to a simple request to waive a $20 pet fee. Unfortunately this booking confusion is between Super 8 and booking.com, but I am stuck in the middle. Reconsidering using either Super 8 or booking.com for any future bookings.
