According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years of age cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorization for the minor to check into the hotel. Such authorization must be notarized and signed by both parents, and presented along with notarized copies of their IDs.
All minors under 18 years of age also need to present a valid ID with photo, to prove their identity and that of his/her parents. This must be presented even if a minor is accompanied by his/her parents.
In the case of a minor accompanied by only one of the parents, it is necessary to present a notarized authorization signed by the absent parent, along with a notarized copy of that parent´s ID.
Please note the hotel does not accept third part credit cards for payment. The credit card holder needs to be the guest.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

Did not like the property.
Hello, I am requesting a partial refund or compensation for my stay at Augusto's Copacabana Hotel.
There were three major issues:
Dirty room on arrival: We checked into room 1103 on June 17 around 3:00 PM and found the room unacceptable. The hotel moved us to another room (802) after we complained.
Elevator malfunction: The elevator was behaving erratically, showing incorrect floors and failing to stop properly, causing significant delays and safety concerns.
Undisclosed guest fee: We were charged R$205 for having guests visit us, but this fee was not clearly disclosed on our Booking.com reservation or explained at check-in.
Additionally, the hotel says they cannot contact the booking contact because the phone number they have does not work, despite multiple attempts from different phones and apps.
Elevator malfunction: The elevator was behaving erratically, displaying incorrect floors and failing to stop properly. On one occasion, while trying to go to the lobby to meet our Uber, the elevator unexpectedly went back up to the 13th floor instead of taking us down. As a result, we missed our Uber and were charged a cancellation fee.
We were also disappointed by the lack of professionalism and assistance from both hotel management and front desk staff when we attempted to address these concerns. Rather than helping resolve the issues, we felt our concerns were dismissed.
Given the condition of the original room, the elevator malfunction that caused additional expenses, the undisclosed guest fee, and the poor handling of our concerns by hotel staff, we believe a partial refund and/or reimbursement of the R$205 charge and Uber cancellation fee would be a fair resolution.
Furthermore, the property did not accurately match the expectations created by the Booking.com listing. The condition of the original room, the issues with the elevator, and the unexpected guest fee were not consistent with what was advertised or communicated when we made the reservation.
La ubicación. La disposición del personal muy amables.
La limpieza en la habitacion es deficiente falta mejorar higiene en el area de los baños. El desayuno es aceptable pero podria mejorar.
