Great long weekend getaway
Pros:

We booked a long weekend away in Lanzarote as a couple and fell in love with this hotel. It's a perfect place for a romantic getaway and a relaxing stay. The hotel staff are all very accommodation and super friendly, all the receptionists, bus boys, bartenders and guest expereince made it an unforgettable stay. Especially shout out to Gabriella from guest experience for helping with birthday decorations in the room with beautiful balloons bottle of bubbles and a gluten free cake! I would highly recommend staying at Barcelo while in Lanzarote. Thank you

Cons:

Just some minor issues with the bathroom amenities, the shower wasn't draining and caused it to overflow. However, there was no issues with the hotel, just some damp towels and was fixed by the morning.

Pros:

Absolutamente todo piscinas increíbles, habitacion increíble, el buffet de la cena y el desayuno muy variado y extenso muy rico todo

Cons:

Lo único que nos tuvieron que cambiar de habitación porque se nos iba a la luz, pero el cambio fue por una habitación con las mismas características pero vistas al mar nos encanto

nice for older people
Pros:

The staff at reception and in the dining area were excellent, they really gave the hotel character. Fun, freindly and more importantly proffesional.

Cons:

We were surprised at the chefs behind the meat cooking grill/counter of the buffet, handling raw chicken and then using the same tongs to pick up cooked (warm, not hot) meat to place on your plate. This we raised with the management and told it would be addressed. The following night we saw another chef in rubber gloves load raw chicken onto the grill then pick up spare cooked,but unused meat, pat it all down with said gloves and the cling film presumably to use in a chicken salad the following day. some training needed re cross contamination.

It was quite an older crowd, It depends on the time of year and the people staying, I believe a younger crowd stays through the summer months.

Chill out vacation
Pros:

Great location, very quiet room, amazing and friendly staff especially Iridia helping with excursion. Huge selection at breakfast and dinner. Had the best massage at the spa, Elena was her name. Lots of nice places nearby, lovely surroundings.

Cons:

The cushions were too soft for me, my balcony faced a roof, spa was at an extra cost and limited so you had to book in advance.
