Room was clean, comfortable bed.

Cons:

Anywhere in the hotel smelled strongly of pool chemicals. Employees were unprofessional, I also paid for a King bed and got a queen.

Pros:

The breakfast was the best and the breakfast attendant was warm and personable.

Cons:

Place is run down. In need of general maintenance, deep cleaning and fresh paint. Hall carpets are stained, bathrooms have damage that needs replacing and repairing. Needs deep cleaning. I feel as though Marriott needs to do a site inspection. Very disappointed.

Awesome Check in service
Pros:

Great room, service. Front Desk agent was great. We checked in with the Manager Serenity and we did not know she was the manager until we seen her name tag and was amazed that she was there at 10:30pm. She was great. Great attitude and welcoming service. The room was clean and breakfast was good. Thank you. We will be back.

Great location off of I-95

Cons:

The hotel did not have my reservation from booking.com.
I provided the email reservation but they had to complete another request. They charged me $20 more than the rate I was quoted and said the additional $20 would be refunded in about 9 days. My card was charged $20 more and the next day I received another $20 pending charge. What kind of Mumgo jumbo is this? Now I have to watch my credit card to ensure I only pay $122.08 (and not $162.08)…
This is very unsettling.

The rest of the stay was great.

I will be back, and I will be staying at Springhill Suites in Florence, SC.
Pros:

The check-in was quick, the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. Our refrigerator was not working when we checked in, however, when we left and returned. It had been corrected and was working fine. The staff got right on the issue.

Cons:

My vacation wasn't long enough. We were actually traveling for a funeral and not an actual vacation. The stay was very comfortable based on the reason for the visit.
