Great value for money, but quite noisy
Pros:

Great value for money and excellent location close to peoples' square and yu garden. Rooms and the hotel overall was a bit dated, but beds were quite comfortable, bottles of water and tea was provide daily and staff was very helpful. Overall quite clean as well, even though I wouldn't call it spotless.

Cons:

The windows have almost no noise proofing, so you practically hear everything from outside. There was construction happening next to the hotel and we were up from 6am as soon as they started - and even when the weather was windy, we could hear the wind whistling all night!

Pros:

The room was bright and spacious. The towels were changed every day and gave us fresh water bottles which was nice.

Cons:

You could hear people in the hallway. When we first entered the room, bathroom was full of long black hairs. We are both blonde so it wasn't ours. I understand it is probably from cleaning personnel but I advise then tying the hair because I didn't feel so good when taking a shower and finding black hairs all over the tub.

There are plenty good options around Shanghai
Pros:

The clean staffs are very welcoming and friendly. Love them all, great location very central and close to the metro line 8 and 10.

Cons:

Room needs an upgrade, shower is not really good, reception staff are not really helpful, breakfast is not very good, value for money is not worth at all.
