Location was excellent! The staff also very helpful and nice with customers.

Cons:

The cleaning of the room was not the best. In fact, in the bathroom—specifically in the shower—there was mould, and there was also a small leak in the toilet that would start dripping after it was used. This is probably due to how old the installations are.

Most likely, if they removed the carpets and installed hard flooring, the condition of the rooms would improve a lot. Also, if they carried out maintenance on the shower tiles, everything would look much better and feel much cleaner.

Well-located hotel for exploring Penang on foot by bus, and taxi
Pros:

Cititel Penang has great long views seaward towards the Malacca Straits and the mainland. Lovely to see shipping heading into Butterworth port and the Georgetown cruise-liner terminal. Its imposing cream-yellow profile meant we could easily find our way back to it when we walked along the narrow streets of Georgetown and its heart around Armenian St. A good-sized room, beautifully house-kept - clean and fresh- as most Far East hotels have proved to be.
Staff were brilliantly helpful and we felt we made friends with concierge, reception and the lovely Evelyn who managed the breakfast restaurant with great efficiency and charm.

Cons:

Nothing. Might suggest greater vigilance by staff to make sure the three coffee machines were refilled with milk more quickly.

Great place to stay in George Town
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent… big spread lots of choices… hotel is very centrally located and can walk to almost all the places… lots of good restaurants and food courts nearby. Hotel is very clean room is nice and spacious. Everything was great. They have good restaurants too and everyone was very nice. We throughly enjoyed our stay here!

My 2nd home at Malaysia
Pros:

Good location to enjoy calture and foods of Penang. Clean and comfortable. Staff are very polite and cooperative. Some staff can speak Japanese. I expect other hotels under Cititel Group.

観光地に徒歩で行ける場所にあり、日本人が会社の出張で泊まっているホテルと聞き安心して宿泊できました。

Cons:

ジムとプール付きのホテルを検索して決めたのですが、プールは午前7時からの午前中だけしか開いていないようです。
利用できずに残念でした。
