it was not the best hotel, but decent especially in central town.
Pros:

the room was well maintained. staff were friendly. breakfast was ok

Cons:

bedsheet had blood stains, TV is outdated, not smart TV, water dropping sounds in the room at night.

Before I comment about cititel Penang, let me tell you about Ramada Jeddah which I booked through you beginning of April. It was simply a disaster product.

A great utility hotel at very affordable price.
Pros:

Location and friendly staff. Right in front of FOC CAT shuttle bus route

Cons:

Location and cleanliness. Although the outside appearance was a bit old style but not inside! The room was comfortable with some upgrade done. I had a pleasant stay in cititel. Cleanliness was good❤️ hotel have free parking as well. Definitely will comeback next time.
The light inside the room was bright, i dun like those hotel with deem downlight.
