Lovely hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel. Angela was an angel getting us checked in & taking care of any questions we had. She was amazing! Very professional & courteous. We booked the fireplace & balcony room. It was lovely. Absolutely LOVED the Lavazza espresso machine in our room! And even the lovely Lavazza espresso & Lungo cups! Very very special. Only disappointment was we thought the fireplace was gas, or something that looked like a real fire. It was basically a unit blowing heat with artificial lighting. (Whereas the one in the lobby, even though artificial, had the appearance of logs & flickering flames.) Chances are we just weren’t aware of how to push the right buttons lol! But our stay couldn’t have been better & we would recommend this location to anyone!

It was fine
Pros:

Parking was a pain . That would be my biggest complaint . They do have a gentleman on a golf cart helping to pick people up . I feel like the floors/baseboards and plumbing(pipes of sink) in bathroom could be cleaner. Staff was friendly and helpful . Close walk to the beach was nice .

la ubicacion del hotel, cerca a la playa

el personal de atencion en la recepcion muy poco amable, empezando porque en la pagina dice que si tenemos requerimiento especial llamaramos a solicitarlo, cuando llamamos para pedir el ingreso con anticipacion, nos dieron una negativa rotunda sin ellos intentar alguna cosa para complacernos. cuando llegamos habia una chica que no se quien era fumando afuera y con la mirada en otro mundo, estaba "volando" lo cual de entrada me dio muy mala impresion del hotel, al ingresar la persona de recepcion, de tez morena, fue poco amable, tenia una cara de pocos amigos y se limito a hacer su trabajo sin hacernos sentir bienvenidos, luego llego la chica que estaba fumando afuera y nos dio unas indicaciones sobre algo que necesitabamos, fue amable, sin embargo su apariencia daba muy mala reputacion sobre los empleados del hotel.

Short but nice stay!!
Pros:

We only stayed here one night but it was a good location and nice big rooms.Jill at front desk was very helpful and welcoming. There’s a foot path across the street to access beach.Short walk and it was like having a private beach close by.Did not eat there but it is available.

Things were broken in our room. The price was high and the room did not meet that kind of price. $400 plus per night there should have been more luxuries. Balcony was right over the trash cans. Just expected more from Doubletree especially with the price

Room was nice and a good size.

Cons:

Shower was dirty with soap scum and a large pubic hair close to the drain. The removable shower head was facing outward and sprayed me in the side of the head unexpectedly.

I had booked another end of a vacation in Hilton head and I changed it however, this location and this hotel is fine!
Pros:

There was a big mixup in the room that I purchased with a fireplace and a balcony and ended up with a standard king room. Something about the lock being broken on the other room and try to compensate me with a whopping breakfast for two, but that did not work so they did turn around and compensate me $50 plus the breakfast, which made it better . The staff was really accommodating and nice!

Cons:

They said the beach was pretty close to walk, but we never did find it. It was dark and disappointing. This town is not inviting.
