Room very warm
Great power shower
Room far too hot. Very basic / dated for a 4* hotel
No cold water in the rooms. Both sink and shower only had boiling hot water so I was unable to shower or wash.
Very helpful receptionist. Changed our room to one nearer the reception area as our original room was quite a distance away and my husband was rather tired after a three and a half drive in torrential rain on the motorway ( he's disabled) The new room was much closer.
Our evening meal was very good and the breakfast selection was brilliant. The waitressing/waiter staff were very friendly.

Disabled parking is almost no existent they have 1space that they allow people to pre-book which means you have to climb either 4 flights of stairs or a very steep ramp to get into the hotel for a hotel of this size / rating they could and should do better.
The hotel is tastefully decorated and the furniture and decor were very attractive.
The staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate anything that was requested.
Location was good, quiet a peaceful area. Breakfast was good.

Breakfast buffet excellent, evening meal very high standard with interesting menu. Large free private car park. All staff very pleasant and helpful. Bedroom clean and spacious , good range of toilet/shower/bath soaps. For two nights we had amazing value, especially including the exceptional breakfast. Lift to first and second floors.
The restaurant and bar are large rooms, sadly lacking in atmosphere, due to high ceilings and hard surfaces. However, the food quality lifted the experience. I would suggest a redesign of the small car park in front of the hotel steps, to allow the initial arrival and luggage unloading with ease. A circular route would create a flow, and avoid idiots parking on "NO Parking" signs and inviting minor contacts.
