Nice stay
The evening staff at check in was very helpful and polite. Easy access to the hospital (where I was going to and from), the main highway (rt22), stores, dunkin, and fast food.
I hope they continue the upgrade, because the room I had was dated. The front doors could be wider it was a struggle to get through with other people coming the opposite direction.
The facilities were very clean. The staff was beyond helpful. Management was also very receptive and available, it was a pleasant surprise to be greeted by the person in charge at check in and check out was a huge bonus for me. I would recommend this to anyone looking to travel to the Philadelphia area.
I travel a lot for work and stay in many hotels. I will tell you I'm very picky about where I stay and this is the absolute truth. The people here have all been so nice and very professional and helpful with everything. The rooms are absolutely clean and whatever reviews of roaches isn't true because I'm extremely impressed with the comfort I've had every night where I wad able to sleep through the whole night. I would give more stars if I could. Definitely clean comfortable and the greatest staff. A lady that cleans the rooms even told me happy valentines day she was a Spanish lady I'm sorry I didn't catch her name but to me just walking by she stopped and said that and that is so amazing that she made the time to do that for me just because she was happy it made me grateful for having people like that. This place is great. I don't know about months ago with people who made bad reviews because I don't see any of that. Definitely appreciate the staff here and going to different places constantly I can tell you this is a great place if you're in need of a place to stay short or long term. Thank you everyone for being so kind. The world needs it.
TLDR; Victoria is the manager of this site and happily harms disabled people and acts as a domestic colonizer.
The first night I stayed here I was first put in a room completely torn apart. The new room reeked of smoke but was supposed to be non smoking. A dog was barking from 2am til 330am constantly as if it was left alone in a room. Nothing was done about it.
The bigger issue is their manager, Victoria, who uses everyday microaggressions, tone policing, ableism, and bigotry to attempt to harm customers, after she and her staff, Kate, have made mistakes.
Kate immediately had an attitude with me the second I walked in. She quoted an incorrect rate, which was the reason I made the reservation. Then, she attempted to charge me about $250 more than what she quoted.
I left because they allegedly have no restroom outside of the rooms and it had taken about 20min to get the wrong information at that point.
After trying to cancel over the phone, I was told I had to go back in person and have the front desk cancel it. When I did, I made sure to record because of the way Kate had acted the first time. I was recording the entire interaction, but Victoria did not know this until I moved my phone to capture Kate’s face, smirking at me as her manager corrected the $85 no show fee she attempted to leave on my credit card after she refused to print out evidence that my reservation was canceled for me.
At this point, Victoria started yelling at me, started video taping me as if there is not a video camera on the front desk area constantly, and using ableist and misogynist slurs to attempt to paint me as “crazy” or perhaps on drugs because she has zero training in accessibility nor inclusion. This is not only hateful and disgusting, it is negligent from this company.
I understand why Victoria is embarrassed to have her bigotry captured on camera, but it is inexcusable.
This company, and specifically this manager, is comfortable deflecting responsibility, making excuses for their poor attitudes, and using hate speech and discrimination against disabled people. They escalate issues by refusing to take responsibility - if Kate is so new, then why are you not out here making sure she isn’t giving incorrect rates and charging credit cards after she claims she did a cancelation? Why are you allowing her to sit and smirk at customers while you stand next to her and say nothing? Why can you say you are sorry a customer feels something or that they “think” something happened, but you never say you are sorry for the poor treatment you gave, or that your employee messed up? Why are you so offended by being video taped after treating people like garbage that you slur hateful and unoriginal hate at them? Victoria uses domestic colonization to harm visitors.
This company needs to train their employees on de-escalation, customer service, domestic colonization, inclusion, and obviously do a better job with their hiring process to weed out hateful bigots.
