Decent price for a suite for 3 nights.
Although the price for a suite was good, the quality of the place was not good. The room smelled like mildew and cleaners. The bed was hard as rock and felt like I was sleeping on the floor. The kitchenette had nothing in it, no dishes, no soap, no pot & pans. The smoke detector wouldn't stop chirping and the maintenance guy had to come by twice to fix it. The right bedside lamp wasn't plugged in, nor was there a way to plug it in and a couple of the outlets didn't even work. The pool & hot tub had to be scheduled for time and no more than an hour at a time. The continental breakfast was a joke, and the coffee pot was unusable. Super 8 is cheaper and 10 times better than this place! It felt like I was staying in a halfway house for recovered addicts. On top of all that my second night their the I was awoken at 3am by drunken idiots having a foot race in the parking lot and slamming into my room windows and outside walls when they finished running their race.

My brothers and I go to PDXLAN every year and have used another hotel because we always have. This year I decided to see what else was out there and found this Red Lion. I used to stay at the one in Portland often as a kid so I booked it. Compared to the hotel we normally used the room was almost twice as big, beds comfortable and staff friendly, helpful and engaging. All for less money. Can't beat that combo!
Ice machines all broken except for one of the buildings. Not the end of the world and was told they were upgrading them.
Location was good and the checking staff very friendly. Fairly comfortable bed and bedding.
The room was clean but had a damp feel-smell to it. The parking lot was tiny and felt just a bit schetchy at night….

No outlets by the bed (easy fix....put a lamp by the bed with an outlet on it). The rooms are large and could use additional amenities.

It was run down, the windows were dirty, the bed had stains all over it. The refrigerator was broken. There were drug addicts all over the parking lot all night. People w9rking on cars in the middle.of the night.
it was clean, comfortable, easy to find all the good things you need/want from a hotel. I didnt get to check out the pool this time (did the last time I stayed however many yrs a go that was) nor did I get to check out Bfast. overall tho great place & very clean.
the sink was opposite but not the end of the world (cold = hot hot = cold) the water pressure or shower head was very terrible it was either a trickle in some spots & jet stream in others. and the lack of towels for a QQ room. most hotels stock 4 bath towels 2-3 hand & wash cloths and a cloth mat. we had 2 hand towels, 1 wash cloth, & 1 hand towel + the mat. was very weird but glad I brought my own towels. oh & also we only got 1 key for 2 people.
overall tho the hotel wasnt bad if I have to come back to Vancouver I'll stay here any & every time
