Fabulous front desk staff at check in. Very friendly and kind.
Easy to find from highway. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Breakfast was included in price. Hot tub. Our room was on the outside of the building (not on the interior around the pool area).
Breakfast food options are adequate, but could have been more varied. I'm not a fan of cold hard boiled eggs.
The breakfast was good. My daughter had frech toast and really liked it. The staff was friendly and the check-in was quick. Room was very clean
Next time I stay, I will know to ask for a room with an outside view. Our view was of the indoor pool. It would have been nice if I had young kids, but my daughter is an adult and I prefer to wake up to the sunshine.
Breakfast was good
All good
Close to everything, easy in and out.
Spacious.
We lived the room, very comfortable bed and bed linens. Breakfast had many options. Good locations. Good price
Right in town. Kid friendly. Kind staff.
Felt a bit pricey for a little town like Castlegar. Wish it had a restaurant.
The pool and hot tub
The pillows were too big
Close to everything. Lots to do for my kid.
The cleanliness was awful.
Went with my sons hockey team and the hotel was mostly filled with hockey/vollyball teams but the staff were very welcoming.
Pros
Decent price of $110 a night but this did not include breakfast. Rooms were small but clean.
There is an area for the kids to play mini sticks by the pool which is a huge plus as most hotels are a hard no for mini sticks (understandably)
Cons
Beds are small, smaller than most hotel doubles. I shared with my 9 year old and it felt cramped. The door to our room seemed as though it was not installed correctly bc we had to push it hard to get it to open and shut. Our keys failed about 4 times in our two day stay so we had to get them re done. The pool area is supposed to be closed at 9:30 pm but no one seemd to minitor or enforce this. A group of parents were drinking in that area on the Friday night and allowing their kids to play min sitcks at 11 pm.I called the desk and asked if they could shut it down and was told 'yea we did but they arent' done yet' I called a second time and it was finally dealt with.
Same thing happend Saturday night when a group was swimming until 11:30 pm. This wouldn't be such an issue if the pool area was not directly in the centre of the rooms but the noice echo's and is so loud in all of the the rooms that face the pool. These rooms are also very hot and humid, make sure your AC works and is not full of black mold, or requset a room not boarding the pool area.
Overall a decent stay, probably wouldn't stay here if it wasn't for hockey travel.
The pool is a lovely temperature
