Fantastic Hotel and Holiday
Pros:

Just had 10 days at this hotel and I honestly cannot fault it. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and the hotel is kept impeccably clean.
We had a superior ocean front room which was spacious, modern, comfy, good ceiling fan and Aircon and a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea.
Pool area is nice with plenty of sunbeds. No one is trying to reserve them which is great. Pool looks out over sea.
Food and drinks are good both in main restaurant and Charlie's beach bar.
I will make the comment that Jake's which is across the road and technically part of the hotel I have not included in this review. We ate and drank twice there and was disappointed. Food was ok but cold both times and service poor.
None of this takes away from an amazing holiday and hotel. Thanks to all the staff who worked so hard to make our stay pleasurable.

If you want a hotel with a lovely beach with palms, swimming pool and good food, then we can recommend Coconut Court.
Pros:

We were delighted with our ten day stay and the professionalism and consideration of the staff. It is an ideal place to stay on the island and excellent value for money. While crime is not a problem there was discrete security which was reassuring. The food was excellent. Great ribs. It was the kind of hotel that you could stay without having to go out if you wanted, but of course Barbados has many things to recommend. We would advise people to visit the wonderful Museum, Andromeda Gardens, Welchman Hall Gully and Walkers Reserve - all are fortunately off the cruise ship tours.

Paradise but keep a track of charges
Pros:

Spent a week at Coconut Court Beach Hotel as a family of six. We booked two superior rooms with stunning views of the beach and sea.
The only downside to both rooms was the sofa bed. The main bed was a comfortable king sized bed but the sofa bed was anything but comfortable. I wasn’t expecting the sofa bed to be anything like the main bed but would have expected it to have at least been sturdy enough to hold a small child. Unfortunately both sofa beds in both rooms were missing springs and anyone sitting on the bottom of the beds fell through the gaps and became trapped. One of the sofa beds was repaired on the second night but this only involved moving a spring or two into another area of the bed and did little to improve the stability. I have had more comfortable nights sleeping on the floor whilst camping.
The rest of the room was clean and comfortable and room service attended everyday to tidy round and change towels and linen.
The pool and private beach were simply stunning. Everything was clean and it was clear great care was taken to ensure guests had everything they needed to feel relaxed and cared for.
There are two restaurants to choose from and a beach bar. Food was great and a number of theme nights were held whilst we were there. Prices were reasonable and had something for everyone.
By far the biggest plus for the hotel was the staff. Every member of staff encountered were friendly and welcoming. They took time to get to know each guest and even had our coffee and fruit juice waiting for us every morning when we went for breakfast. Also kept glasses topped up with water and couldn’t do enough for you.

My only disappointment (after the sofa beds) was when it came to settling room charges.
The hotel did not accept cash at its bars or restaurant and encouraged everything to be charged to your room. I’m not a fan of this as I like to keep a track of what I am spending and can see how some may spend more money that they intended by doing this. There was also the option of paying by credit/debit card.

We used both options but the real problems came when attending reception to pay the room charges. We did this a couple of days before we were due to checkout as I wanted to ensure we were keeping to budget and did not want to be sorting out any issues when leaving for the airport. You can pay the room charges with cash or card.

We had paid for a bed a breakfast package when booking but on some days the cost of breakfast had been added to the room charges. Not a big problem as the hotel staff were able to remove these but it did seem to take them quite a while to do. Anyway after removing the breakfast charges we settled the bill and went about our day. We returned when it was time to check out and asked to settle any room charges incurred for the day an a half after we had last settled up. To our shock the bill was much larger than expected. Again there were errors charged to the room which were removed but there were also charges the hotel stated had been occurred at the start of the holiday which had been delayed in processing and not included on the original charges settled earlier in the week. We were given print outs of all the charges but this was extremely confusing and had lots of charges added and removed. One charge for 14,000 Barbados dollars had been added and removed and the staff could not explain what this was. We spent almost an hour and a half trying to sort this out and I am still not sure the extra charges are correct. It gave the feeling the hotel were just making things up as they went along.
In hindsight if I encounter anything like this again I would ensure I had a receipt/screenshot for each charge so I could keep an accurate tally for myself.

It’s a shame about the charging system because it tainted what would have been a perfect Easter break.

Enjoyable Second Stay
Pros:

Stayed at Coconut Court a few years back, before COVID, and liked it, so thought we’d see how it was doing now. Quick, friendly check-in, and one of the gentlemen helped with our luggage to our room, which was one level down. We had asked for a lower room, as there is no elevator, and lots of stairs. There were some problems with the new electronic keys, and they had to be replaced a couple of times the first day. We had a Superior Ocean Front Room this time, and I’m not quite clear on the difference between it and the Ocean View room we had last time, but very comfortable, and a lovely view. (Unfortunately, the complimentary bottle of rum punch and the 25% off meal coupon are a thing of the past, I guess.)
We found it a bit hard to regulate the room temperature, as very cold when the AC is blasting, and too warm when it’s off. Can’t leave the balcony door open without a screen. We found it best just using the fan overnight. Bed and pillows were comfy, and they had the fluffiest towels. Walk-in shower is nice and big, tile a little slippery. There is a nice rainfall shower. There was decent water pressure, and enough warm water. There is a small fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and basic dishes, so after a trip to Massey, we enjoyed having our breakfast on the balcony. Appreciate the safe in the room. We only asked for housekeeping a couple of times, and they did a good job.
The pool area is lovely, and rarely very busy. Always able to get a lounger. And we enjoyed the cute orange hotel cat, Tigger, who hangs around there, waiting to be fed. The beach itself is gorgeous, sandy, very warm water. There are lots of palm trees and umbrellas for shade, and didn’t have problems getting loungers. People are always coming and going. The first part of the beach entering the water was very rocky this time, and we could barely walk in. We did end up purchasing beach shoes at Coco Express Gift Shop, and it was well worth it. With the breakwater that the hotel has put in, we could go out every day and snorkel safely, and see loads of fish. The gift shop is very handy for all kinds of items, and the ladies running it are so helpful and kind.
Enjoyed the Managers’ Rum Punch Party around the pool, along with some nice appetizers. Vada at the activity desk was helpful making plans. They change money at the front desk, and will order taxis.
During our 8 days, we had many meals at Captain Charlie’s Beach Bar, Coco’s Beachside Restaurant and Jake’s, and it’s very convenient to have options onsite. We found the food was good, there is generally adequate staff, and they are all very pleasant and friendly, but a lot of time is spent standing around, so service can be slow. The recurring theme over all the restaurants is disorganization. Some lack of knowledge of the menu. Sometimes took 2 or 3 tries to get the correct order. No one comes back to check how things are, offer coffee, dessert or another drink. Can then take a couple of times to get the correct bill.
Location is very good, close to Bridgetown and other attractions. Try the ZR van to get around - only $3.50 BDS, and always an experience.
All in all, this was a great second stay!

Paradise in Barbados
Pros:

The location was good with plenty of restaurants and bars with live music. The atmosphere was very friendly and pleasant surroundings based on the beach with free sunbeds. The rooms were lovely but you would need to bring/buy you own tea coffee soft drinks. The restaurant was great for breakfast and there was a bar in the beach serving drink and food. We had a very relaxing holiday there.

Fabulous base for exploring the island
Pros:

Excellent location close to amenities and bus stops into Bridgetown/ St Lawrence Gap. Ideal base to explore the island.

When we checked in we got an extra nice surprise that we had an upgraded room to an ocean view. I was celebrating my 40th birthday and the hotel laid on a lovely birthday surprise for me.

The rooms we had were spotless with beach towels changed every few days. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they organised an airport transfer for us and were able to provide details of where we could get essential groceries.

Support local!
Pros:

We had an outstanding stay at this hotel and would absolutely return. From check-in to dining to security, every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive—it truly made the experience stand out.
The amenities were fantastic, with daily entertainment and activities that gave us plenty to do without ever leaving the property. The on-site restaurant offered convenient and tasty options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the bar was perfect for grabbing drinks and small bites throughout the day.
The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach with direct access to the boardwalk, making it easy to explore or just relax by the water. One of the highlights was the small reef nearby, which provided hours of fun snorkeling right off the shore.
They’ve also thought of everything with a well-stocked gift shop for any essentials you might forget. Overall, this is the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for convenience, comfort, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Toller Palmenstrand
Pros:

Super Lage direkt an weißsandigem Palmen-Strand.
